I think you could say the same thing for 360 other NBA players. 
Lee has shown glimpses of being a near all-star level player. Obviously, just about every young NBA player, if you assume that they significantly improve each year could arguably become an above-average player, but the vast majority of the young players in this league have not shown that they have that level of talent. Lee was MVP of sophmore-rookie game, is a top-10 rebounder, and averaged a double-double in his first year of getting consistent minutes. "360" other young players in this league have not done that. So I think my point was clear, Lee has shown the potential to be an near all-star level caliber player and if he continues to develop his game (which is more that a mere possibility but rather is based on his past performance and improvement from year 1 to year 2), then he can achieve that level of play.
