This is why...the Knicks have better players to pawn off than the Lakers or Dallas (who are both also said to be in this JO spree). The Lakers draft pick is only 4 picks lower than the Knicks in this very deep draft. I think a package of Francis, Lee/Frye, and a pick will do the trick.

I don't think Francis could net us a Jamie O'neal CD.............

I'D BE WILLING TO BET MY MEMBERSHIP THAT HE WON'T.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

David Lee would be the only reason we might get O' Neal. Lee looks like he has the potential to be a near allstar-type player if his offense and defense continue to develop. Bird and Walsh might be interested in him and a few other pieces to get rid of O' Neal, who has not really led them anywhere. I think O' Neal and Curry could work, but it is a long shot at best that a deal gets done. Bird and IT hate eash other and neither would want to get the worse end of the deal.

I think you could say the same thing for 360 other NBA players.

I'd rather go Francis, Lee AND Frye instead of Lee and the pick. I really wanna hold onto that pick.

Lee has shown glimpses of being a near all-star level player. Obviously, just about every young NBA player, if you assume that they significantly improve each year could arguably become an above-average player, but the vast majority of the young players in this league have not shown that they have that level of talent. Lee was MVP of sophmore-rookie game, is a top-10 rebounder, and averaged a double-double in his first year of getting consistent minutes. "360" other young players in this league have not done that. So I think my point was clear, Lee has shown the potential to be an near all-star level caliber player and if he continues to develop his game (which is more that a mere possibility but rather is based on his past performance and improvement from year 1 to year 2), then he can achieve that level of play.

I was just poking fun at you. I know what you mean about Lee.

I think Zeke would even throw Mardy Collins or Balkman in the deal to get Oneal. Zeke and JO have a very good relationship and I do not see Isiah giving any player a free pass to stay a Knick in this particular trade. Dallas has a bunch of old players and the Pacers are trying to rebuild, thats why Lee and Bynum are the keys to any trade. Bynum is "untradable" so the Knicks have the upper hand. I can really see this trade happening...

The Key is which bad contract can we take from Indy?

The ability to do this makes Isiah a valid trading partner.
