They somehow swiped pick 33 in the draft--so they own 28-33 and look what they do when they own those positions. They are not out there crying about ping pong balls--they are killing everyone to the punch with the late picks. Two picks in this draft at those positions will revamp their bench.

Briggs, part of that is the ability is to draft well late in the draft and their current budget structure.

Briggs, I notice that also but I attribute it to the drafting process being a bit simpler when you are 1) a great drafting organization and 2) already have the pantry full and only needing to pick up a few more items.

Not such an easy task for any franchise which has to take chances on "potential" and those same franchises who are under pressure to produce a full course meal.

It's easy to make this kind of deals when you have Duncan.

Briggs- you're right- and here is what I don't understand.

We're paying millions in luxury tax for has been players that sometimes aren't even on our roster- shouldn't we take part of that money and hire the largest scouting network possible? We should have scouts on staff at every euro game, at every college game and every HS game.

San Antonio got Parker and Ginobili because they did their homework and were familiar with them- no reason we shouldn't have broader knowledge than the spurs.

Having money and working hard is 2 different things
Cablevision Knicks have lazy crew of cousins and "close friends" of somebody and the work ethic is not only bad on the court but all over. So no wonder this organization produced sh...t

Yea real easy their starters consist of two picks in the 20's, another guy they signed off the olympic team and someone that is twice the defender jefferies is for 3 million......

We make moves like 48 for no reason for francis and let ariza play 3 years for under 10. We make pointless midlevel moves, never rent a player and make deals to move up four spots at the end of the draft and take on 33 million and everyone praises the move because we got david lee. Those people are clearly brain dead and lack the understanding to realize our gm gives away draft picks like water, and then make a huge deal when we acquire late picks. Call it uncovential Isiah all you want but the reality is you only take on contracts to bring in players not individuals......

He lost every single trade he has ever made, and 90% we get ****ed with a contract we can't move.....
