Now, I know someone has an excellent "Steve Francis Trade" just waiting to happen.

Okay, I have one.

Steve Francis to LA Clippers for Cassell and Tim Thomas.
Due to New York and L.A. Clippers being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and L.A. Clippers had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

There are no excellent Francis trades. Only sideways ones at best.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Yeah, I understand the Knicks are going to have to take back a bad contract in return, but it aint like we shouldn't be used to it by now.

Keep him this season? Or keep him for the remainder of his contract? And why?

keep him if you can't get equal return, why buy him out, why trade for lesser..thats how we got steph.

Doesnt make sense when he still has game, all though he strugglers to play a team game, he played well with mardy, also played decent with steph a times. If this was a video game I would trade him, but if you play with some one on a regular and have some success, thing can only get better.

His value is only going to get higher the longer we hold onto him. After this year, he's an expiring deal.

Put him on IR and see what other teams offer at the trade deadline.

At this point we can't trade him cuz then we'd have to take back junk we don't want. Just keep him and let it ride till he's ready to expire. There's no need to do anything hasty. I think we'll still see lot's of Mardy, cuz he's a better player for this team right now. Isiah has to have seen that, just like we did.
