It's pretty much why we can't go with the squad. If we're going to build with Curry, then we need to keep players like Balkman, Collins, Lee as a BACKUP and maybe Nate. All those guys are backups so far. Then get 2 guards who can pass and shoot and play defense, one of them being a stud and get a power foward who plays exceptional D and rebounds and blocks shots and. I'm talking about how to build a championship team, not just a playoff team. It's the way to be done if we're building around Curry.

Channing Frye, Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford does that get us a pick in the 4-8 range, if so do it.

I agree, but it's not happening b/c Isiah LOVES Crawford and Frye.

I think it pretty much comes down to this:

Jerome James need to be replaced with a defensive shot-blocker who can play 15-18 mpg. Channing Frye needs to be replaced with a tough guy who can wear down the opposition and hold his own on defense. Jared Jeffries needs to be replaced with someone who can score, pass better and hit a three, Nate and Q need to be replaced with a shooter (Almond?). PG is actually almost our strongest position except that Marbury isn't a true PG and his leadership skills stink. We need to get someone with some of his qualities, more of a pass-first mentality, and get a leader for this team.

I think we need one change at each position to try to balance the squad. Will be tough.

so many holes to fill, I think shot blocking and outside shooting are the biggest problems, and we somehow gotta cut down on the turnovers.

I think we need to replace half the players because they don't compliment the rest of the team.

Ironically that's actually my first name, although after Larry Brown, I now go by Lawrence. I'll soon be switching to my middle name.

our greatest deficiency is outside shooting-

we have to get one, possibly two outside shooters.

One has to be a 2 guard because our back court has too few good shooters-

and they have to be a good, if not great defender- again, to make up for weaknesses with our undersized guards (Marbury, Francis, Nate & Craw -skinny)

I think this team can keep Curry, Frye, Lee, Balkman & Collins-

the big IF is Frye and whether he can find a role- back up 4/5 off the bench with an outside shot like a Donyell Marshall- heck- if Frye could hit 40% from 3 land and just be good for 5 solid attempts per game & average 8 pts & 4 boards-

Kinda weak for pick 8 in the draft- but that could help the team.
