Tough. Lebron is a more rare talent than Oden, but building around a big man is much easier. Can't take Oden yet considering how much Lebron has accomplished on this level without Oden having played a game yet, but as I said, building around a big man is much easier.

LOL. The only big men that has won with a all star caliber wing man is Hakeem and Oden ain't Hakeem. Give me Lebron.

I think Oden is more valuable to a team than LeBron.

As much as I think LeBron is the second coming... I have to go with Oden. Franchise bigs win championships.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I love the big men, and I think you win with great big men, but I have to see oden on the pro level to determine if he is going to be any kind of offensive threat. I mean will we have something closer to Hakeem or a better version of Okafor......

Lebron is a rare talent tho and he is a legit 6'8 player, in the mold of a magic johnson. this is tough..

The only "small" man I would take over a comparably talented big man would be Jordan.

I'm taking Lebron for more than one reason.

He sells tickets , he can put a team on his back offensively, also pass the rock well.

Easier to put roll players around him that are one dimesional cheap players.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Until LeBron get a frontcourt presence on his team, that is all he will ever do.

In other words, "He aint Jordan."

big men need to be fed the ball.

Lebron is able to attack, distribute, etc.

its early yet for oden- give him 3 years.

I think when most people think of Oden, they think of him in a defensive concept.

I do, but you know I was not that sold on him a year or so ago. I am not saying he won't live up to the billing, he just may, I saw enough of him to be impressed, but since HS he has been bigger than everyone and his game limited to dunking over small players, I didn't see any slick footwork, any spin moves, reverses, anything other than dunk, I do think he will be a limited offensive player, but on defense a game changer. Against florida in the finals, he was a monster on defense.. offensively... blah...

Lebron - he's a proven commodity that is getting better.

Olden - is likely to be very good but unproven

An earlier poster said Lebron isn't Jordan. But Jordan wasn't Jordan at 23 either. Lebron will probably never be as good as Jordan - but it isn't clear he won't be yet. Even if he never gets any better he's already great. While I think Olden will be great also - I'll take the sure thing with upside over the unproven.
