Yup, I feel pretty damn good.
Congrats. 33 wins, gave away another lottery pick, same team, same fraud of a GM and coach, same pathetic owner.
Go nuts.
But I'm powerless to change that, and I can't root for another team. So I have chosen to make the best of it, and hope that the young core improves and perhaps Isiah can luck into a good trade.
If, however, they ended up giving up the rights to Oden, or to a much lesser but still significant extent Durant, I would have stopped watching the NBA for the next 15 years, which could mean for the duration of my life.
You're powerless to change a lousy situation. So you feel good, just because it could have been even more lousy? I don't get it. We still have the same crappy team and nothing but a pick that's lower than 80% of the teams have to improve. I have no other team to root for, but that doesn't make me feel good ...it makes it even worse!

You post some really obtuse stuff.
It's merely a recognition of reality. The Knicks didn't lose out on a possible all-time great player. That's a positive development whether or not you care to acknowledge it.
As for the Knicks' roster, Curry, Lee, Balkman, Collins, and Q form a core that can be supplemented to build a playoff contender.
Do they have improve? Of course, but that's not particularly unlikely.
Steph was very good last season.
Craw, Frye, and Nate can possibly be assets that can be packaged for needs.
You're entitled to your opinion. I don't share it.
