Too bad he didn't resign with them. He is a terrible fit for the Clippers where everyone wants to get there's and was a great fit for the Suns, where no one cares who scores. Money ruled in the end but what a difference he could have made in this Spurs series. He would have helped both Nash and Stoudamire immensely. Diaw has regressed and Barbosa has had a terrible series. Bell can't be counted on to hit the three. One thing TT could do, is hit the 3.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I don't think TT has the mental toughness the Suns had. Did you see them fight in that last game? TT woulda wilted under the pressure for sure.

Like TT or not he tends to respond in the playoffs. Check Indiana early in his career and last year when he won the series against the Lakers when they were all but dead. The guy is a loafer but tends to come up big in the extra season for whatever reason. (New contract?)

Yeah, I am sure Nash and Amare were thinking, "We can use Tim Thomas right about now!"

If you are saying the Spurs could have used some 3 point shooters when their shots weren't falling, I will agree with you. But besides that, your thread really makes no sense.

The Suns were thinking they could've used Amare and Diaw for game 5 if the league wasn't so ridiculous.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Diaw has been kinda mediocre. I'm sure the SPurs woulda played better if Stoudamire had been in too. Just look what happened in game 6 when he was in. Besides I thought good teams cope when their stars are out?

Solace, you must be mad that Tony Parker took Eva Longoria away from you.

Let it go, dude

Diaw did great last year. His role is reduced with Stoudamire there. Either one in the lineup makes the Suns a much stronger team.

Ridiculous. Just tired of the league's bull**** and we all know that Tim Thomas was the last thing on the Suns mind.

Big Pimpin', my thread makes no sense? I said the Suns could have used TT. I guess I should have expounded that they couldn't hit a 3 to save their life when they needed one. TT stroked it over 40% for them and he would have in that series. Who was going to hit a 3? Raja or Marion once in awhile and Nash if he could ever separate from his man, which wasn't easy in this series.

Diaw hasn't been mediocre. He's been awful and useless. Yes, he was great last year, but I can't count the number of times he's passed on shots that the Suns desperately needed him to take. This season, he's been a Channing Frye clone, and to be truthful, I saw a little of it in him last season too.

Also, the Suns had game 5 in their pockets, but they couldn't capitalize at the end. They have nobody but themselves to blame, especially if we're now saying "They could have used Tim Thomas."

Roj, you are making a statement based on last year. Last year and this year are two different things. But then again, maybe its not considering the Suns and a red-hot TT lost last year too.

Instead of saying the Suns could have used TT, you would better serve your point by saying the Suns could have used some made 3point baskets from shooters.

Defense wins championships. They couldn't stop the Spurs. That's what it boils down to -- D-E-F-E-N-S-E!

I think the Suns would have been okay if only 1 of Stoudemire/Diaw had been suspended, but not both. Diaw's was Stoudemire's unofficial replacement in the lineup from last year. With both out, there was a void.

Tim Thomas is a killer playoff player, especially in contract years. His overall consistency leaves something to be desired, but he turns it on when he has to financially.
