How about

Malik Rose
Channing Frye
Randolph Morris
for Boris Diaw
and pick 24

Boris has already shown what he can do. If you look at Phoenix's long term $$$ position with the fact that they add Frye[who would be good in their system] they are bound to do something. Getting rid of 30mm$ in long term $$$$ might be very attractive for them.
Ith pick 23+24 we can certainly wipe Sean Williams with 1 of them--he is going to be better than Morris IMHO.
If we added
Boris Diaw 6-9 220
Sean Williams 6-10 240
Morris Almond 6-6 225
I think it would be a successful addition to what we have going. I think something like this[getting rid of a long tem $$ contract makes sense for Phoenix with who they have++ they add Frye and a top pick to control costs.

In general, I think Diaw is overhyped and just a by-product oh Nash...but for that deal, I wouldn't be able to say no, especially with that pick coming our way.

Diaw sucked this year. Maybe because Amare took all his space. A good fit is everything in the NBA.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I hate Phoenix for so many reasons but the Suns and that damn movie "Waiting to Exhale" are some of them.

So do I bro. From the whiny Duncan to the dirty Bowen to the smug Pop and PJ. I hope Detroit waxes their ass.

THe Suns do nrrd to trade Boris, but I don't think we can take him, Q, JJ2 and balkman on at the 3 spot.

Frye would thrive with Nash looks while Boris would be lost with our ball involved guards.

Marion is the one that will likely be moved. Great player but tough as a max contract.

Hate them or not, the Spurs are big time team.

Diaw is because of Nash? What does Nash have to do with Diaw's ability to guard 5 positions and get 6 to 7 assists and 6 to 7 rebounds a game?

Foe everyone who thinks Diaw is an outstanding player because of Steve Nash -- you need to stop fooling yourself. Diaw is a solid passer, scorer and rebounder.

Being passed the ball by your point guard doesn't give you those kinds of skills. Wake up, people.

I would love to see the Knicks/Suns do this trade.

And I say this while knowing there is no way in the world the Suns would do this.

It's comical that Knicks fans who talked a lot about great NY teams of the past who was actually built and players like... Spurs of today have so much hate to Pop's team.
The game is about winning and about championship. This what Pop and Spurs do. How they do it? Who cares. This is not a charity.
Do you prefer "gentlemen" Mr. Isiah and pure guys Eddy, Steph, Steve, JJ's to Dunkin, Parker, Ginobly and Co.? Good luck... sucking for a while.

you come back swinging, don't you pimp.... LOL.. anyway I agree with you and briggs. Diaw is skilled no doubt, would be nice to add to the knicks, I would do that deal and to come away with those 3 players would be a nice summer for the knicks..

Good point, The 1990's knicks were Often hated for thuggery much worse then what the Spurs have done.

I really was pulling for the Suns but I also respect and like the Spurs game. I am a fan of Duncans non nonsense strong fundamentals and strong character. SOme people call him boring. He is a stone cold killer.

Ginobli was incredible last nite and Parker keeps getting better and better. And when it counts Bowen hits important jumpshots when left alone.

Talent was in favor of the Suns but that 4 minute stretch where the spurs built that lead was some good basketball.

It was a great series despite the unfavorable outcome.

So Frye would be good for them, but what about us? What is good for us talent wisel? The package looks good, but for what is the question? I'd pass on this one and not make another possible long term bust. I say save the money, as the contracts start to run out. If we make any 'in they're last year of contract' trades, then just make sure we don't make any long term commitments. They have to be short and inexpensive. No more free rides for just anyone, not unless they are a bonified superstar. But I already know that's not happening at this point. We have to develop moveable parts. No long term commitments, not unless they are as stated.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I think we are giving up too much. Morris is worth pick 24 straight up. Why take back the salary? I might do it, ONLY to use the pick on Sean Williams.
Since Phoenix is going to need to lower their salary cap, I say we can get a higher pick from them, or at least not include Morris, we should use him or get value back for him (straight up trade for pick 24)...

Interesting trade. Diaw is a solid defender, scorer, and passer. He is not great at anyone thing but he is a solid all-around player that knows how to play. That being said, he is overpaid. Frye is going to blowup with the Suns. With Nash setting him up for easy baskets, he will look like Diaw did last year. I would see if they would do a trade of Morris for the 24th pick. If they are not willing to do that trade, I would only do this trade if we got the 24th and 29th(?) picks from the Suns. We are saving them cap room and giving them two young power players both with potential. We deserve two picks.

With those picks, we can take Sean Williams, Morris Almond, and take a chance on another prospect.

In fact, I would not mind seeing if the Bobcats might be interested in Nate and a future second round pick for 22nd pick. They need a PG that can score and that is Nate in a nutsell (although he is not a true PG).
