C-Curry
F-Lee
F-Balkman
G-Crawford
G-Collins

Marbury is very likely going to be part of the team so he is 6 unless he could somehow fetch me something way up in the draft or a combination of pieces that includea young quality guard like Devin Harris. I think his value went way back up towards the end of last season.

Frye
Jefferies
Morris
Nate
Malik Rose
Pick 23? that is our trading brew

Francis--I think there is a slim market but we'd probably take back more $$$
JJ--no market really for both of them

Q-rich complete unknown

I can dig this.

Knicks should try shopping Francis to Indiana. I know Bird and Thomas dont like each other, but that Harrington/Jackson blew up in their face big time! They need a scorer to replace what they lost in Jackson

Those guys have combined for ZERO playoff experiences in SIXTEEN seasons. You're not exactly building around a group of winners. A few of them are just inexperienced. The others are pure losers. The idea of not being willing to trade Jamal--who is simply garbage, and that's probably insulting to garbage--is baffling.

This is a nice balance to that mid 1st round pick thread, but at this point, we are a 33 win team. NOBODY is untradeable. For me, that includes Lee and Balkman (only if the right deal came along though).

I can definately agree with using those players as our core though. I like Jamal. From everything I've read, he's very coachable, one of the only players to buy into Brown. Yes, he has poor shot selection, but I sometimes question what Zeke's instructions were. When you're hot, keep shooting - when you're cold, shoot out of it?
If used correctly, he's a nice combo guard to have, and the chemistry with Curry is undeniable.
Even his defense, while it still is below average, has shown a steady improvement. He may not be a good defender, but you can often see the effort.

I would trade Curry- I am not sure his value will ever be higher- and although I believe he may improve, he will never be worth what we paid- I'd trade him to Dallas for Josh Howard & a future pick or two...

swish you think Francis can play consistent team ball, or defense.

He's a ball hog who likes to pound the ball

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I would love to use Francis in a trade, especially to Indy, but what are the chances Bird bites? It's no secret that a buy out is in order if we can't ship him off. It'd make more sense to wait and offer him part of the MLE.

We're a 33 win team, following 23 wins, following 33 wins. Not a single player is untouchable. Period.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

30? there's a lot of bench players... so what?

I could name 30 SGs in the league that I would rather have than JC, especially when you consider offense, defense, and salary.

BRIGGS..switch Curry for Frye and I will agree. Well...I just re-read your 5 and you Jamal in there. He is a better fit with Curry than with Frye. OK..I like it.

Maybe in some circumsatnces but the players I outlined
Curry-24
Lee-24
Balkman 22
Crawford 27
Collins 23
avg age is 24 I think this is the core right now that is surrounded by Marbury Jefferies Frye Q Rich and nate--i think that marbury will be here two more years so you are looking at frye jefferies and q rich--can we improve in this area--we have to and we will. I dont think you blow up something that is up and coming--must get it better/ stronger and play it out.

We're up and coming? We went from 33 wins to 23 and then back to 33. Eddy's starting year seven and he's still one dimensional.

Are you out of your mind?!!! Your team didn't even make the playoffs. Everyone and anyone is trade bait. Bring the offers for Lee, Curry and Balkman?@!!! The last one I am sure is a hot commodity.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I dunno why everyone and their mother wants to trade Curry all of a sudden. He is a dude that you can try to actually build a team arond and thats a first since like ohh i dunno Ewing? Yeah he's been in the league a bunch of years and is one dimentional but hey its his 1st year as #1 option on offense and he will have to learn a bunch of stuff he never really needed earlier (like passing cause he was never consistently double teamed b4).You can add a bunch of other stuff to learn too of course but to me he is the only one who i wouldn't trade.

i really don't understand some people. i know i harp on this a lot but i seemingly never get a response when i point out that the knicks were the only team in the NBA who had a winning % increase every month, were above .500 in february, and won 3 of their first 4 in march before, in succession, crawford, lee, and Q went down.

thats the best playmaker, rebounder, and shooter for those scoring at home. they all dropped and the knicks dropped.

i'm with you briggs, you build around that core. lee, balkman, and collins can't go anywhere. they bring everything i'm looking for, good size, toughness, do the little things.

bonn, calling crawford garbage is an insult to garbage? what were you doing when crawford hit various game winners this yr? how about when he dropped 50 on dwade? i think crawford will have a breakout year next year, the guy is absolutely ice cold at crunch time.

this is a realistic assessment of the team.

I agree with keeping this team as it is.
We need another year to see the truth.
Truth anout IT, about Eddy, about Steph, about Lee, Balk, Collins, Nate, and about Craf for this matter
Others pretty much cooked.
But I think IT is smart enough to reshufle the deck again and make the picture mute. This is his way to surwive and continue to suck the money from Dolan. So I expect some questionable trades and signings again.

The fact their previous trades went poorly for them will probably make them think twice about any potential moves they make this summer. If they're going into rebuilding mode they absolutely won't want Francis. What would you be looking for in return anyway?
