He is better as a second rounder. Make him prove himself.
Where Williams ends up in the draft largely depends on the workouts. He shows a lack of effort and focus he drops to the middle-late 2nd round. He busts his rump, runs the floor hard, makes hustle plays, and looks like he wants to play in the NBA? No way an uber-athletic shot-blocker with a 7'5" wing-span drops into the second round. No way.
At this point I don't think we are going to pass on some of the sweet-shooting guards, especially not with our glut of forwards. But say our three or four top choices are picked? Then you have to take a chance on Williams. He's the kind of player that can have a real impact from the get-go. Where we are, right now, you have to take chances.
