Well at least in the draft.

For those that don't give a damn. The liberty traded Becky hammon. Well to tie it with the knicks, they traded Becky for the rights to the 2nd pick in the 2007 draft!!! Jessica Davenport!!! Not sure if any of you guys keep up with woman basketball buy this chick is a beast. She is pretty much unstoppable down low. She's a 6'5" center which is big for womans bball. Aside from that, they also get an extra first rounder for 2008, which is looking to be one the best draft class in the history of their league!!! Baddass!!!

Aside from that good news, they still retained their own first rounder, the 5th pick overrall. They got Tiffany Jackson with that pick. She is yet another 6'3" bruiser. She is probably the second big in the draft next to Davenport. So the basically got their oakley/ewing tandem for the next few years. Wicked man!

Last year they loaded up on guard with loree Moore of Tennessee and this other chick that is probably one of the fastest young scorers in the league. They already have some nice small fwd types as well.

You know, aside from their youth, the liberty look to be a really good team this season. If they can't overcome their inexperience, they will have 2 first rounders to put in the candace Parker, etc draft.

Awesome. The liberty is a ny team fellas. They play at msg. They are NY. Its some exciting times in liberty land. Anybody care?

Nice to see how much you love the girls Eny and I hope you'll be as fast a young scorer as the other chick. Good luck, I hope that a lot will fall in your basket.

If it wasn't for the NBA all-star game I would lose all contact with the WNBA. I used to follow the Liberty but I found that Witherspoon team disappointed me too much. It was bad enough to suffer from the Knick playoff disasters but the Liberty was just as bad.

Very true; didn't they lose in the finals three or four times with no championships? Ouch.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

They lost to Houston twice. It was like 94 all over again. Serious, that how much I followed the Liberty. 3 times in the Final and no championship.

Oh, man, I'll miss Becky Hammon. Twice I saw her come off the bench and take over--as they say--a game using nothing but grit and that crazy flat downtown shot.

And, yeah, Becky Harmon--along with being one of the grittier basketball players in MSG--is hotter than Eddy Curry, Quentin Richardson, and Jamal Crawford combined.

I don't follow them closely like I do the Knicks, but I always liked the fact that NYC had a woman's team. In the first few years, I would follow the standings, and take a peak everyonce in a while now. It's just that's it's been so hard to get into them, because they would remind me too much of the Knicks. But I'm glad to hear about the pick-ups and they should go far with the extra height and (I know women don't like to talk about this, but...) weight. Maybe a forum for the Liberty team could be a possibility here. Just a thought. I know you guys have enough on your plate right now. And yes, I am' a bandwagon fan when it comes to the Liberty. LOL
I'll never trust this' team again.
