I hope the Suns are able to overcome this. In 97 I felt like the Knicks had a great chance to beat the Bulls. It was also the only time Riley and the heat beat the Knicks in a playoff series. I still hate P.J. Brown. I can't believe the NBA allowed this to happen again.

To this day I believe the Knicks were the best team that year. I still think the league screwed the Knicks and the fan base of a chance at the title. That is why I want David Stern to be fired why is he untouchable and why are the owners of the basketball franchise still allowing this stupid rule to exist is just a joke in the NBA. That is why I believe NBA chooses their champions rather than allowing teams to display their passion for winning. They are trying to take away the fight in players they want the players to be lacking emotion for their teammates. It is no different than a family member sticking up for one another that is the comraderie developed by being together for almost 8 months of the year and that is what players develop among each other a brother type bond. What the Knicks did was a teammate sticking up for his teammate. Suns are getting jobbed in this again David has reared his ugly head and taken a stupid rule and kill the joy out of a game that was anticipated. If Suns fans were smart they should boycott their home game and show crickets at the arena. There is no way that the Spurs should have been rewarded, once again a stupid rule rears its ugly head along with their ugly abnoxious commisioner.

This is stupid if I'm a coach on a team losing in the playoffs all you have to do is put a stupid hard foul on an opposing player and see if the opponent bites And who leaves the bench. This tactic has been used by many brilliant coaches Riley, Jackson and now Popvich. This is rewarding the instigator and I hope that the Suns come out victorious but if they lose this just as the Knicks lost Suns fans should kick Sterns ass for this he can override this as no damage was done in the game. BUt he chose not to siting it is league policy. This is very sad and honestly speaking down right absolutely Stupid on what NBA and it commisioner did.

The pain of that series is STILL with me. I'll never forget that feeling. I just think there should've been some degree of interpretation from the start and this would have allowed for more fair decisions all along. Now the league just goes by the letter of the law and they can cover themselves and feel justified. There's no way they can tell me that it made sense to suspend Ewing for what he did. That was pure garbage. He didn't even come close to doing what the Suns did and he was much closer to what Duncan did, but from the other end of the court from where the fight was.

That still haunts me to this day. I thought the Knicks should atleast have been allowed to choose the players they wanted in the next game after the fight. I would have chose Ewing and Houston at MSG but the league didn't even allow them to choose their players they wanted that is how I know that it was absolutely rigged for who was going to be champions of the league. Terrible job by the league in 97 and to this day I know that Jordan has tainted titles under his belt.

Man that made me hate the league! I'm rooting harder now for the Suns! I don't want them to screw the league no matter how hard the league tries!
