How can you lose there? They have a ton of talent. They will be getting a new owner soon. They have cap space coming along with another high draft pick. They have some pieces they can trade off. They need a new GM to balance the roster off a bit, other than that-it's only up from there. How does Van Gundy lose? hes going to win more than 16 games his first year. The team wouldn't be look as a playoff contender for 2-3, but realistically with that talent--they could surprise everyone. If they to snag lebron, Wagner will have a better fit if you put the 6-8 James at point. Use part of the MLE on a young veteran PF like Harvey on the cheap and use the other part of the MLE on a 2G like Jon Barry for veteran leadership and chemistry. To me-that looks more like a playoff team that could do damage in the east. Van gundy could put it together as long as he has an open mind with a willingness to play 9-10 guys.

If JVG taught those guys how to play D, they'd be dangerous, but the press always says VG wants to go to a veteran team and not have to work with youngsters. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out if they get LBJ to see what coaches will suddenly want that job.

You mean Lebron will be a bust under JVG. He can't coach young players no clue as to how to develop talent. He will ridicule him in his first practice and run him out of town just as he did with the great Fredrick Weis. Lets face it JVG is a defensive coach but very weak on the offensive side. The right choice there would be Dunlevey.

I agree, if I am the owner of whatever team wins lebron - I would not have JVG as his coach for the first few years he was in the league. His best option is Jackson but I dont think LA is getting LJ anytime soon.

JVG I think will be coaching the Rockets if Rudy decides not to come back.

I wish he would become there coach, because then just maybe we might be able to make a deal with them for some of that young talent.
