What are the Knicks going to do with him? I think he can still play but I do not think he is a good fit for the Knicks. Do you think he stays or waived/traded? Is it the right thing to do?

He has to go but I think only Miami would take the chance on actually trading for him. We will ultimately end up waiving him or Hardawaying him. But there is no way he should be playing for us again. He and Marbury don't work and he is the most undisciplined PG I have ever seen.

I say waived.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

It's best for him and us that he parts ways with the Knicks.

He's going to be a "valuable expiring contract" in a few years time.

well the general consensus is that nobody will want his contract, especially knowing in the back of their mind that the Knicks will end up waiving him if they can't trade him, so if you want Steve-O (Houston,Clippers,Miami) you can just wait till he's waived and pick him up on sale.

the bottom line is we have probably seen his last days in a Knick uniform, unless we sign his gramma with our full MLE and have her just sit on the bench to inspire him next season

But, rest assured, he won't be traded for shotblocking, because that's overrated.

Its clear that francis can play at a high level still and its also very clear that he is a high maintenence bitch.

In francis eyes I bet he thinks he is on a wade level. In reality he is a very good scorer and rebounder at his position.

The guy has value still and isiah should not waive him but try to get the beat deal for him. Someone would bite. Try to pick up players the knicks can use and waive what they can't. Knicks can't just waive a dude that can still play at a decent level.

I agree but I think every team that wants him will try to play chicken with Isiah and pretend they aren't interested and hope for a buyout

I totally agree Blueseats. That's why I think it's imperative to one up Allan Houston and extend him AFTER his contract expires to a year 150 million dollar contract b/c teams really will find that expiring contract much more valueable. I'm all about that bro.

It is a tough situation because he clearly cannot be on the team and yet, can we really Hardaway him. I think the Knicks will try to work out a deal to save a few million and just waive him. I agree that every other team is going to wait it out until after the season starts. No one is going to want to pay that $13 mill in salary.

If Marbs will have carrier or even season ending knee surgery Steve will stay.
Otherwise why worry?

I say we put him on the reserve list till his contract is on its last year. Zeke has to play some hardball for a change.

i say there's a very good chance that they won't be able to work out an equally equitable buyout, & you'll see Francis on this team again next year.

He is one of the worst guards in the entire league, lets be honest, he is braindead, over dribbles, is not a good teammate, is a huge complainer and never puts forth an effort on defense. Sounds like nearly every guy isiah has brought in

Lol.

Its just annoying how francis can't just play his best at all times.

You know down the stretch, Collins and francis quietly played great as the starting backcourt.

The big question with francis is, why is he such a bitch? He was clearly pissed that he had to share minutes with craw and marbs in a 3 guard rotation. What is that?

He fakes an injury to get away from the team, then when he comes back he complains that he isn't getting the minutes he wants. I just don't get it.

Francis should still be able to be moved. Its the only logical move cuz its clear the bitch doesn't want to share his 48 minutes with anyone.

The cavs just seems like the perfect place for francis next to Hughes and lebron. He has played well with gooden and he has experience playing with a big post guy like big Z. Who gives a **** who comes back really? I would take back Eric snow to be a vet leader and whoever else the cavs would want to sprinkle on the knicks.
