There are more Nets fans at the Garden during NJ games than Knicks fans. VC and Kidd are cheered on a regular basis.

How old are you? I ask b/c do you even remember the MSG crowds when the Knicks were good? They were prolly the best in the league. So you must ask yourself THIS question. Why can't the Knicks be good anymore?

Actually the Warriors have been the leaders in attendance the past several yrs. They've been there even amidst the losing. I think New Yorkers a resigned to the fact of not attending games watching a product that doesn't show effort night-in and night-out and add to it, they want to see wins.

In the 90's playoffs there were chants of DE-FENCE going up the escalators half an hour before tip-off. The garden crowd will be ready... when the team is.

The Garden fans have been VERY patient and have for the most part stuck with the team. Even this year they initially voiced their displeasure, but when the team started playing better the fans were into it and they stayed behind the team for the most part. Given the many years of losing, I think the fans have been very good to the team. When this team starts playing better the fans will be FULLY supportive. I don't think we'll need to stand all game to give the team a lift. The Garden is a VERY loud place when the team is going good.

I remember in the 99 playoffs against Indy, we chanted into the building and on the way out onto the street. I've never heard or felt anything like that game 3 against the Pacers when LJ hit that 3. There was a collective silence and pause until we saw the shot go in. Then the entire stadium shook when we all jumped at the same time. We were all hugging each other and carrying on. I miss that kind of excitment and I long for that feeling to come back.

I think the fans have appreciated the hustle play from our young players. I think they realize that these guys are just starting out and need time. They're far less patient with the vets. The fans are fare tho, cuz if the team plays well they come and they're supportive.

These MSG fans oughta shape up. I think the Knicks are just about fed up with them and their lack of appreciation. Dolan & Co. might just refuse to sell them tickets next year, and tell them to stay home.

Those ingrates will stay at home and be refused cable. Meanwhile, Isiah will be selecting a fan with our pick this year. Our scouts have talked with the guys that heckled Steven A. and, needless to say, they would make for excellent front-rowers.

Since Isiah is a mastermind when it comes to the draft, I expect a real difference maker.

When we get to the playoffs and actually advance then we get a crowd like the Warriors. In the year 2020 all your questions will be answered.

are you guys retarded? Im referring specifically to the fans STANDING thru the whole game. Thats what i would like to see the garden fans do.. Im not saying they are not a good crowd, im saying it was awesome to see the GS fans STAND the whole time like a college game. I watched the knicks all thru the 90s btw.

Elite, what have the Knicks done that has made a Knicks fan say "I'm going to stand the whole game and scream my head off." I am not a Warriors guy myself, but they have busted their tails throughout every single game this season, for every minute. As a reward, they get the playoffs, and as just as big a reward, they get the rambunctious crowd.

You wait till the Knicks become good, and you'll see Knicks fans standing throughout the whole game. The Knicks haven't earned that yet, and we Knick fans are all about making them earn things.

The knicks were amazing in 99 and the crowd did not stand thru the whole game. When i try to stand at the garden people bitch for me to sit down. Thats the prob here lol

i really don't know why people would want to stand the whole game, especially short people seated behind tall people.

You're sipping Kool Aid if you say amazing. The run is fun as hell to watch, but in the end, we ended up without a championship, and despite getting beaten by SA, we thought we could win one without a guy like Patrick., even though he saved our arses against Miami.
