GS is a serious team. That blown loss will probably come back to haunt them and they are missing *one* piece who can score in the low post, but this team is very good and gives a pay per view type of show.

Best series by far. Although the GS-Mavs series was great too. Makes one consider second guessing all of the Dirk bashing, in my view. The Warriors record somce that trade (a fleecing so far) with Indiana is something t notice. As for this series it's the only one I've watched every game of and I look forward to watching each one...great, exciting, team basketball, with heart and hustle to go around. Really reminds me of the '99 Knicks style. I'm partial to Golden State, but Utah is a really good team. Deron Williams is serious, and Boozer has been a beast.

Amazing re-emergence of Baron Davis from the high expectations from early in his career, and with Harrington and Jackson they have guys who have been on good teams, and give their rotation flexibility. Says something about finding a coaching style that suits the roster you have. Nelson should get credit, as should Mullin, after being seen as one of the worst GM's, for making better moves over the past few seasons....drafting of Pietrus and Biedrens, trading for Baron, Harrington & Jackson, the pickup of Barnes and bringing in Nelson late.

Also says a lot about being PATIENT as a fan.

If they were patient they wouldn't have changed half the roster and brought in a new coach, and therefore wouldn't be turning the post-season on it's ear.

the biggest change I think was stephen jackson, not just because of his offense but on defense. he's out there directing traffic, you can see him telling people where to go, and on free throws telling everyone what they're running, etc. and by the way he did an awesome job on dirk in the dallas series. I think he gave golden state's defense a huge boost

I think you may have misread my comments. I didn't say Mullin was patient, I said being patient as a fan can be important. Assessing who is "good" does not necessarily occur overnight, and it can occur that players who are considered "overrated," a "has been," etc. turn out to be better than the popular sentiment. A-Rod on the Yankees this year is a good example of this, or Dave Windfield who was once called "Mr. May" was key to the Blue Jays winning a title years back.

However, Mullin was patient with some players who had long term value, but were seen as not reaching their "potential" like Jason Richardson. I still contend had the Knicks traded for Davis, and/or Steven Jackson before now that Knick fans would be going ballistic on Isiah. The point is the Warriors found the right mix of players and the right coach which has worked for them. I tend to think, in fairness, that we sometimes over-equate 'genius' with a combination of smarts and luck when it comes to creating an NBA team. Mullin deserves credit, but it isn't as if Isiah or other so-called bad GM's sit there and see nothing that could be changed.
