Nets Expecting Sign And Trade If Carter Leaves

Nets' president Rod Thorn was a guest on WFAN's Mike and the Mad Dog radio program on Friday afternoon.

Thorn was asked about Vince Carter's impending free agency.

"We would definitely like to sign him," said Thorn. "The more likely move if Carter (isn't re-signed) would be a sign and trade."

He was then asked if he was anticipating the current team being back.

"Well, we'd like to tweak it a bit. We would like to bring back our base."

i still think a good deal for both teams would be vince + marcus + boone for jermaine.

They're trading Jefferson like you said a little while ago. Vince would take away from the development of Danny. I see the Nets possibly dealing with the Hawks something like
