I am working for AP so I know what clean news are and how they are collected.
What you are talking about is alternative interpretation of the news.
This is almost impossible to hide news our days... May be MSG kitchen is one of the exceptions...

I don't know, our govt is capable of buying off networks for not covering certain issues that would expose them.

Thru the yrs Billions of dollars has been spent to keep the cable networks quiet.

The News are there.
It is up to intelligent person to digest it.
I agree that government and media did great job to make sure US society is dumb enough to be manipulated easily on what we should buy and what we should believe in.
I can understand their intensions - everybody wants to do their job with less trouble.
But at the end it's up to the person to accept the b..lsh..t or have his own opinion and believes.
