Guys I know this is Far fetched but what do you think about these 2 Deals.

M. Rose & #23 for Artest (Value at all time low)
James, Crawford & Frye for JO (They get 2 Solid young players and 1 piece of Trash)

Knicks Team

Starters (Age)

Curry (24)
JO (28)
Artest (27)
Richardson (27)
Marbury (30)

Bench

Francis (Sorry)
Jeffries
Balkman
Robinson
Lee (Still got him)
Collins (Still got him)
Morris

call me crazy- but those don't seem unreasonable.

Isiah definitely should offer more in either case. I'm sure Bird would prefer Lee, but I think Frye would prosper nicely.

I could perhaps see including Nate in one of the deals if need be.

I'd do either of these deals. I wouldn't offer Lee in the JO deal in place of Frye that franco mentioned, but I would offer to add him to the Artest deal, if Sacramento would throw in Kevin Martin.

Curry (24)
JO (28)
Artest (27)
Martin (24)

If you're gonna add JO, as might as well add Artest and just go all out for the next 2-3 years.

Malik Rose & 23 for Artest is a solid deal. But the Kings would only do it if they just want to be rid of Artest and I am not sure they are at that point yet (but they are close).

We are not getting JO for Frye and Crawford. Bird is going to demand Lee. If the Pacers were willing to take one of our bad contracts (James or Jeffries), I would do it. JO is young enough to allow the team time to grow and he really is an upgrade over Lee and Frye because he has the offense, defense, and rebounding.

If you can get Jermaine O'Neal and Ron Artest for Malik Rose, Jamal Crawford, Channing Frye, Jared Jeffires (IND takes him instead w/ JC and CF), and the first round pick, you've got to do to that.

Going to battle with Starbury, Artest, Richardson, O'Neal, Curry, Balkman, Lee, Collins, and some sort of 2nd round pick Isiah gets via $$ and Nate in a package, that'd be as good as any team in the East w/ the improvements of Balkman, Lee, Collins, and to a degree Curry, and the consistency of Marbury, Artest, Q, and JO, man, that'd be a team I'd go to war with

NO.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

That would be something. Not sure if artest is still a value though.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

NO.

Why not, that seems like a top 3 Team in the East. Plus I tried it in NBA Live and the Team is a 90 without Morris. :)

i would like to hear reasons as to why acquiring artest and o'neal would be detrimental

the downside is Artest blows up, causes problems.

Downside with O'Neal is he blows his knee out in pre-season and is out two years with micro-fracture surgery and never regains his form, becomes a shell of himself like Webber on the sixers.

That's why you don't give up lee.

And speaking of webber- interesting how he became young again with a different team.

JO might do well here in NYC with Isiah.

I'm not sure Isiah wants Artest, and after Sprewell came here and cursed dolan out during a game, I suspect Dolan might veto a move for a talent/headcase like Artest.

who said anything about giving up lee?? crawford/frye/jeffries get JO and malik and the draft pick get artest.

saying the downside of JO is he blows out his knee in preseason (is this a veiled allusion to mcdyess??) is absurd b/c thats the downside of every player.

obvioulsy the downside is artest blows up and JO gets hurt.

the upside is artest is the best perimeter defender in the NBA again, JO averages 18/12 while curry can put up his 20/6 and not worry about rebounding, the knicks win 45 games and have vets and young guys evening out a roster that could make noise in the playoffs.
