and now the Warriors upset the 67 win Mavs.

Choke or just beaten?

I say Warriors beat them with loosy goosy play with nothing to lose. They looked like a Ncaa guard oriented team making a run to the final 8!

Mavs choked last year but this year they made a few mistakes. Mostly they were out coached. Nellie did a masterful job.

Nellie was wondefully sarcastic in keeping them non chalant while Dallas pressed.

Nalods take: Warriors would have snapped (they did) when things got tight around their necks. They played fluid and with emotion and for them to win had to win big. If Dallas could have kept it closer they would not have folded. Dallas was cooked more then I could have imagined. They still have last years finals collapse in their minds and have some problems.

I say they need to make a few more changes off season.

They are haunted by Nellie, and miss the two time MVP for controlled ball movement. HE was the heart and soul of the team.
Not that they have done bad without him!

Knicks in 73' upset the Celts but lets be real. Clyde and Earl were on a mission that year! They knew it was then or never as the team was aging.

Knicks then went on to beat the Aging Lakers 4-1 winning on the road in LA!

Game started at 11pm eastern time. I stayed up! Tough for a 6 grader back in the day!

Oh to be 12! Knicks win the championship in May, spring in the air, Spin the bottle partys on the weekends and summer looms!

Knicks were champs!!!! not celts (little Marv Must have cried!!!) and not logo and Wilt!!!!!

Next year the Celts were back with Cowens and Jo Jo, and little Nalod cried!

Only thing that made the next few years good (hoopwise) was DR. J "operating" 15 minutes away in Uniondale!

They having a good time in Oakland with their team this year. Good for them!

when your best player is a 7'0 jumpshooting big man who doesn't post or go to the hoop, and then has to guard smaller guys on the other end, your team will have series like this in the playoffs.... Dirk was a big part of the matchup problem his team had with the warriors...

Nellie did a great job of coaching, they smacked the mavs in the face and the mavs never recovered from game 1... I don't expect the warriors to win another series but they sure put it to dallas.....

You don't think they can take Utah or Houston? I think we might see them playing the Spurs or Suns in the Western Conference Finals.

nah.. utah maybe but I don't think so, utah and Houston can grind it out and control tempo, they won't get sucked into playing the warriors style and the warriors can't go small with either team, because of the size issue....

utah has a better chance. they have nobody to guard yao, but they are just going to run his legs out from underneath him like in the all-star games.

Deron is the real deal. I like Utah but hope the Rockets move on.

Nellies wild bunch vs. JVG and the giant from China make a nice series.

The Rockets are very thin once you get past Yao and McGrady. The other players are pretty useless statistically. Well... Juwon Howard actually still has a lot of game, but at this stage, he's used as instant offense off the bench on this offensively challenged team. He doesn't get to use his playmaking/passing skills all that much. They'd be much better served getting a 9ppg/9rpg type of rugged PF (Haslem... David Lee?). I want them to win w/ JVG and all, but really... I don't think they have enough pieces.

I like Utah's makeup. They have versatile players and practically everyone can score. Boozer's awesome - great all-around player - at this point, you might even argue that (as a 2nd round pick) he's better than fellow Duke alum Elton Brand (#1 overall pick).
