i remember a while ago he wanted to come back, Lakers were supposedly talking to him etc. I guess it never happened?

He stinks is what happened! The dude needs to get a rocking chair with a donut pillow and a life time supply of metamusel and just stay the hell away from basketball. If Jordan didnt have success in his last comeback then Pippen is going to break his leg doing the pregame warm up dance.

He's put it on hold for awhile, and is waiting on Jordan; because he realizes he can't do it without him.
