Basketball News Services: "The interesting thing for the Knicks is that they’ve got the salaries to match up with O’Neal, but do any of those salaries equate to something Larry Bird and Donnie Walsh actually want? Why would Indiana take Fran? Perhaps Marbury but never Fran.

Francis would be the top dog in Indy scoring wise -how he likes it and what keeps him happy. Either way for it to work with Marbury you have to take out Nate.

As an aside. I would consider dealing Marbury if that is what it took.

I am thinking that Indiana would want Collins as part of the package if Tinsley is coming this way, and no way would I give up Mardy.

I agree. However,Indy has no star w/o JO. They need a draw. Nate is that draw. On top of that with some of the smart players and fundamental players(Granger, Foster, Murphy, and Dunleavy) they can handle-maybe even use- a bit of a loose cannon like Nate.

The fans in INDY would treat nate like they did stephon Davis in due time

With all the off court issues and image problems thy've had lately, Not sure Indy would want Francis. Also, you can count on Indy demanding Lee be apart of that package.

If JO expired after the 08/09 season, this would be a great trade. Unfortunately, he's due to earn 23M in the 09/10 season, which will weaken our chances for the free agent crop of that summer.

If you do this deal you can always move O'Neal for an expiring contract or some young talent, and you get rid of Franics, Jefferies and Nate.

I bet you Atlanta would take him for a package of their lottery selection and perhaps Josh Smith, we could include Crawford in that deal if they are looking to make a splash, maybe even move him to the bobcats.

See if we could get the clips to bit, the lakers for an odom swap, anything to change it up. Maybe move Curry keep JO
