33 Marc Gasol
Birthday:1/29/1985
NBA Postion:Center
Class:N/A
Ht:7-1
Wt:270Int :Barcelona, Spain / High School:Memphis (TN) Lausanne 2006 Statistics
Euroleague Profile

Strengths: Physically Gasol has great upper body strength … Like his brother has a great set of soft hands ... Does a great job of establishing himself in the post … Fundamentally he is as sound as they come in the post … Displays a rare combination of power and soft shooting touch … It is not uncommon for Gasol to overpower his man and then shoot the ball off the glass … Back to basket skills are quite advanced … Owns a good assortment of moves as he can shoot the jump hook, turnaround jumper plus spin off his man for the soft finger roll … Quality rebounder in his area who does a solid job of boxing out opposing players … Hard player to double team as he keeps the ball high and away from guards and has the court vision to quickly kick the ball out to open teammates … Enjoys physical contact in the lane where he does an excellent job of drawing fouls from opposing defenders … Shows the ability to absorb contact and finish with relative ease … Does a good job of denying his man position in the post … Intelligent player with a great work ethic to improve …

Weaknesses: Unlike Pau, Marc is a below average athlete ... Heavy legged player who will need to improve his foot speed to play in the NBA … Lacks fluidity in his movements as he is a bit mechanical … Must continue to work on conditioning his body as he appears to be carrying a little extra weight … A focus on strength training could improve his overall mobility greatly … Lacks the explosiveness to be even a decent shot blocker at the NBA level … Not a very good rebounder out of position, as he possesses below average lateral quickness … Post defense has improved greatly this year but still struggles when having to guard top athletes … Offensively his execution in the post is slow which allows opposing defenders to recover quickly, must learn to make moves more decisively … Can be a little foul prone … Not a great help defender by any means as he is often late on the play … Even though Gasol is a late bloomer who has yet to reach his potential he’s made big strides in the past year …

shoot urself.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

You highlight "like his brother" but don't do the same for "unlike his brother".

He seems slower than gasol.

When are the freakin yahoo vids coming out?

Eh, sounds like a guy who would top out as a Luke Longley, or at best, Brad Miller. This is really not what we need right now.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
