One of the bright spots in the past season is seeing that our two rookies showing that they belong in the league. Both are athletic, both play good d, and both seem to have a sense of how to play the game. We can't know, of course, how they'll both develop, but I was wondering what other posters believe it's reasonable to expect of them in their second year.

Balkman will hit a sophmore slump and not start, but be used as he was used this year, collins will continue to improve and eventually become the starting point guard with marbury and crawford manning the 2. (marbury starting at the 2).

Balkman's sophmore slump means he produces like he did this year and that to me would be great news.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Collins will get carried away in his own hype and demand to be traded before the February deadline.

Balkman will get in a fight with David Lee during a Summer League practice.

Randolph Morris decides to re-re-enroll at Kentucky.

Curry and Jamal decide to hold out in October.

Woe is us.

i think Balkman will still struggle w/his perimeter shot for another couple years, so i don't see him as reaching his peak for a while yet, but i do think he'll eventually improve to make himself into a legitimate starting calibre player on both ends of the floor... & if he ever develops a consistent jumper, he has star potential IMO.

Mardy is just a smart basketball player... he's the most similar player to D Lee that we have on this team... he thinks before he acts, something not many of the other young guys on this team are capable of doing... they rely mostly on their instincts, talent & athletic ability, but D Lee & Mardy are just sound basketball players through & through... they got the fundamentals down & you can tell they were very well coached during their formative years... i think Mardy has a chance to really have a big role on this team except for 1 thing, & that's Stephon Marbury's unnatural relationship w/Isiah Thomas.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
