"It's a situation where we have some guys who are young and they don't really get it yet," Richardson said. "And some guys got to show more passion and show more anger when we lose. Just in general, knowing how good we could have been. At some point, that's got to get to you."

who's gonna teach this team how to get angry after a loss when all they've done is lose? it's not going to come from malik. and it's not going to come from mister 50 games/season quentin. where is that type of leadership coming from?

that's why isiah HAS to go out and bring in a guy that's won in this league and can still ball to show these people what it takes to win. he needs to bring in leaders and winners b/c if he is the leader of this team, then he's a poor leader.

that's the number one reason why ron ron isn't what we need. leading is all about attitude.

It's pretty telling right now. Some of us have seen these problems all along. Others of us blame it on being young, injuries, etc etc... we have too many players who think they're stars yet not a single star. Ironic.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Frankly again missing the point. Isiah brought in a bunch of losers to this squad, paycheck players that don't really care......

Nate, Crawford, Francis I think are prime suspect they are all flash players that don't take defense seriously, and Jamal is a known partier and is always out on the town. I don't even think that eddy takes losing that seriously...

After they won last night he says its bitter sweet? Are you ****ing kidding there is nothing sweet about losing 49games, nothing.......

Isiah makes excuses, made them again today, talked about the injuries we know what happend to the team and guess what they weren't going to win enough to get into the playoffs to begin with so sorry. Accountablility starts with your leader and isiah said he was the leader which is ****ing disgraceful in itself.

Yes we don't need artest because he plays his ass off cares about defense and gets upset when we don't play any. Frankly we need someone that is going to slap a few people around

If we get him next year, while we're 5 games under .500 and we start sucking, at least we'll get a good draft pick outta it.

I just realized, though, that the Knicks will never trade with Denver, after the brawl. Might as well ask Isiah to do business with Boston.

Not a good idea because 90% of the trades Danny has made he's managed to acquire #1 draft picks from them.

Oh I know. I was just saying, Isiah hates Denver. If he's gonna trade with them, he might as well trade with the other team he hates. Personally, I don't trust Isiah with any trade.

who is it going to "take" to get through to the young players? Michael Jordan? it shouldn't take a superstar to make them understand the obvious. people say they will only listen to someone with "cred". riiiiight. let's just ignore the guy with 2 championship rings, and Richardson, the most complete player on the team in terms of all around game. if they don't have the sense to really listen to those two guys then I have little hope they will grow up any time soon no matter who gets in their faces

well said highfive... it's a flawed roster, & until we get rid of the players who have the loser's mentality that Malik is referring to, this team ain't going nowhere even close to reaching legitimate contender status.

Some of us hate to lose. It's been that way since birth. Some of us play sports and compete with or coach guys that really don't care if they win or lose. Have you ever tried to teach those guys how to care? How to feel the pain of losing? How to do whatever it takes not to feel that pain?Do you know how hard that is?

This is why as GM you target players that no how to win and hate losing because it's very hard to teach the other way around. Especially to guys that are 25-30 years old.

Guards are supposed to be leaders out there

Marbury, Francis, Crawford and Nate......why can't we make the playoffs

Your supposed best player is out of shape and doesn't play defense

Way to go isiah
