Making excuses said the schedule was too tough and opponents were too tough in the beginning.

He says they are an average defensive team.

He said they will improve from within

He wouldn't give himself any critique on his coaching job because they didn't make the playoffs

SAS is babying him. the other guy, mike missenelli is hitting him with hard questions and isiah was getting perturbed with him.

for example: mike said that this team doesn't look like it can play defense. isiah responds, in a angered tone, that you can't make blanket statements like that. but here's where it gets funny, isiah talked about how basically it was the injuries that cost them the season. yet he told mike that look at this team the past month and how the defense improved. but isiah - that's when the injuries hit. so the defense got better when you played more defensive minded players AFTER the injuries were hit. so how can you bring up the injuries yet talk about how the defense improved at the same time after the injuries?

mike also asked him about malik's comments that it wasn't really the injuries. isiah got upset and said "did you talk to malik? b/c i bet that's not how he intended it to come out."

mike also asked him about the golden state loss and the philly loss a week later and he said that golden state was a "damn good team" at that point after they made the trade. (the warriors were 3-6 entering that game). he also said the knicks were depleted.

isiah's a b.s. artist.

that's why he makes tha big buckz.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

He also said everyone is at fault for this season, after saying the reason for the season was nothing but injuries.

Yep it was getting ugly good thing Steve was there to buffer and diffuse it. The quote that stands out is when Steven wanted confirmation of his questioning about defensive assessment and Mike tried to intervene because he wanted his question answered with more clarification and ISAYUGH says;

"You have a better chance of seeing God, than for me to continue to address you".

There were three "acts" to this season:

ACT I: Pre-Brawl (11/1 to 12/14)

- Record 9-17

ACT II: Post-Brawl (12/16 to 2/28)

- Finished out December 4-3 (7 games after brawl)
- January 7-8 record
- February 6-5 (without Lee 1-1, without Jamal 0-1)

W/L 17-16

ACT III: Post-Injuries (MARCH & APRIL)

- Finished March 5-9
- Finished April 2-7

7-16 in our last 23 games and lost EVERY SINGLE GAME at MSG in April.

Fact of the matter is that isiah put zero emphasis on defense and his starting channing frye and steve francis to start the season was a big reason why we were terrible....

Isiah deflects thats what he does, he smiles and pretends there is progress he deserves what he gets as he is making 6 million and put together this roster of misfits

Can't believe I missed that interview. Nice to see someone with a pair interviewing Isiah.

Queenie, the season did have 3 acts but they went like this:

Act I

26 games against half above .500 and half below .500 teams.

Act II

27 of 35 games against below .500 teams.

Act III

Roughly half of their remaining games against .500 teams.

I was waiting for that interview since the show came on since Mike Missanelli is notoriously confrontational and the Zekester does tend to get overly defensive at times.

I missed it too, but I did hear a snippet. Isiah said they got everything they possibly could from the team this year.

I if any other coach said that Isiah would have fired him. Er... I mean, did fire him.
