I think golden state can beat Dallas.

Record aside, I think golden state has more talent than Dallas.

Baron davis is proving to be a good point guard with how he is passing that ball. He can do everything and he does.

I think I will go as far as saying golden state will upset Dallas. Wow.

i think it's a great story. a team that was out of the playoffs for 13 years, only to return with the same coach that led them there before. and who just so happens to be the same guy that helped rebuild dallas to what they are now. don't know how it's going to play out but the games in goldenstate are going to be tough for dallas.

I don't know if anyone saw them play the last 20gms of the season but every game I saw looked like the game when the Knicks played them in Golden State and got Rammed up the Chocolate Star. Don Nelson gives them the greenlight for about 45min of the 48min regulated game. I kid you not, I forget what game it was but they were scoring so fast I think it was against Dallas. They got a shot off from a miss with 22sec still left on the shot clock. Stephen Jackson was shooting the ball before he even caught it.

I wouldn't be shocked if Monta blows up in this series and propels himself to stardom.

I know its team ball but

Baron Davis > Jason Terry
Jason Richardson > Devin Harris
Steph Jax < Josh Howard
Dirk >> Al Harington
Dampier - Biedrus

Monte Ellis < Stackhouse

I like those matchups for GS do I think they are going to win probably not but i wouldn't be shocked to see it go to 7, at least 6

If you're talking playoffs, I'll agree with you and give Stack the nod over Monta, simply because he's been there, done that. This is all new stuff for Ellis.

But as a player, Monta kills Stack.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

The only clear advantage that Dallas has is that they are a machine as a team and they have annoying ass dirk to shoot over everyone like its not even hard.

To me every other position is pretty even. I think the talent advantage goes to golden state but the experience of Dallas cancels that out.

One thing to point out is golden states bench. They have Barnes, pietrus, Ellis, and foyle. That's amazing. Knicks wish they had all 4.

Come on, Golden State beats Dallas? Get real. Dallas in 5, with a lot of ease. Golden State has a lot of talent, but as we see with the Knicks, it's all about team success, not individuals. Golden State barely made the playoffs. Dallas is an absolute beast. They also have the two best players from either team. Golden State's only shot is locking Dirk in his hotel room for the series.

the only reason golden state barely made the playoffs is b/c bdiddy is always hurt. that's something you have to know going into a season that he will get hurt. but he's playing now, when it counts, which makes them much better than their record indicates.

He played 63 games. He missed 19. How many extra games does GS win if BDiddy is healthy? Three? He was healthy for most of the season. He played in 77% of their games. If GS was playing a team like Cleveland (obviously not possible) I'd agree, that there's a chance... but Dallas? Get real.

i agree that for them to win 2 games would be a major achievement. but i don't think this is a guaranteed sweep.

Guaranteed sweep, no. A sweep is possible, but I think GS takes a game. There's a few first round matchups that are going to be very competitive and very close. I don't think GS-Dallas is one of them.
