This guy, Miles, has been incogneg all season - which has been horrible for him. The guy still hasn't developed any moves, skills or shown any sign of life. What's the deal?

I have always been a miles fan, and I believe with davis on that team he has hindered the development of Miles and wagner, Davis is a selfish individual who takes a ton of shots, I still like miles, he is only 21, a legit 6'9 or 6'10, can play D and is very athletic. I don't know if we can steal him from cleveland, but I would love to give it a shot...

Reminds me of Camby. All the talent in the world but never wanted to make good on it. Miles doesn't have the desire to be a great baller. He doesn't have what Kobe, T-mac and of late Curry have displayed the need to work hard and improve his game to the next level. His situation doesn't help either.

Ricky Davis averages 20 points 5 rebounds and 5 assits. he averages more assits than Sprewell and Houston combined. Put him on a team where the players can knock down shots and you are probably looking at an 18 -6-7 sf who averages 2 steals and could easily shoot 45%. Its tough when you are on a crppy team and each team keys on you. Darius Miles cant shoot PERIOD. He still has great potential but ricky Davis is already a great player. And on top of that the guy is like the most underrated defensive player in the league. Hes capable of guarding guys like kobe and tmac. You guys dont watch the Cavs enough. Wagner is a PURE chucker and Miles cant shoot to save himself. Davis has superior NBA talent. how many players in this league are putting up his kind of numbers? not many.

Briggs: I watch a lot of the cavs game, just finished watching one a few minutes ago, and let me tell you Miles has s load of potential, and Ricky Davis is a nut and chucker, don't let the assists stats fool you, andre miller had a ton of assists with cleveland and look at what he is doing now.. Davis is a selfish player and that stint he pulled in Utah, tells me enough about what type of player he is....

What are you talking about dude? Ricky just went to the bench 30 seconds ago. He absolutely dominated the game. they couldnt stop him. He either penetrated and slammed or dished off to miles boozer and z for an ez hoop or he sat back and knocked down js.

His line tonight 28 points 11 assits 4 rebounds 3 steals 2 blocks on 13-20 from the field. Almost every Miles bucket was a dish from Davis for an easy can. Its not a comparison. Ricky Davis has superior NBA skills. Hes a top 10 wing player. Hes a top 3 athlete.

Since we're talking about our needs at SF, who would everyone rather have at SF, Davis or Odom? Or someone else (and please suggest someone who we actually could get in a sign-and-trade or through FA, not Nowitski or TMac)

Not that I think the Knicks will have either next year. I'll bet Layden intends to have Shanderson start at SF once he moves Spree. Either that or he'll try to get Bryon Russell from DC. I'm not kidding, I really think Layden believes all his Utah picks are great players. Scary enough for ya?

That is fine dukes but I am never impressed with big numbers on a pathetic losing team, Davis is a selfish player and a first rate jackass, I just don't want him, the league is full of swingmen who can score, I like miles because of his length his ability and his defense, Miles is a better defender, and his upside is tremendous, I look at more than the stat sheet, and Davis only made one assists to miles, Miles hit a 3, and made 3 other baskets on his own moves, stop making it seem as if Davis is gift wraping points to miles, Davis is no jason Kidd.... We don't need a player like Davis, a guy like miles who does a lot of other things is what we need, you failed to mention that miles had 12 points, 6 boards and 4 asssists, all without dominating the ball... you say Davis is a top 3 athlete, Ok so where does that put, Richard jefferson, Desmond Mason, jason Richardson, Kobe Bryant, Mcgrady, Garnett, Vince Carter,......You see how crazy that argument sounds now... DAvis is a good player and a very good athlete but lets not get carried away....

Favirite Dynamic attainable SFs:

1. Lamar Odom - Still learning the game. But when he starts to teach look out.
2. Desmond Mason - dont let the dunks fool you. Hes all around nice
3. Darius Miles - Gets a bad rap. Transition stud, halcourt slug.

I like Davis better for many reasons-especially because he plays two way basketball. On top of that he isnt an injury concern and is signed long term to a locked in mle contract-his skills and game are that of a maximum player. There will be a ton of teams trying to pry him away. Im probably creating my own fantasy that we have anything the Cavs want or that Laydumb would even want a player like Davis-he's to hardcore for him. You are right-somehow someway they are going to try to attempt to throw the draft pick wards ending contract to the Clippers for Miller who has been awful this year. Hes a good player but you dont give a draft pick away to a team that has no intentions of signing him. If they want Andre-they should put the mle out there. If he doesnt sign it-move on. The Knicks get themselves into to much trouble overpaying the wrong personell. Lets face it Scott Laydumb hasnt done one good deal since hes been here-to say that he hasnt had the product to work with is a fallacy. When he went aroun in circles trading for Mark Jackson and Erick Strickland for 1st round picks--THEN turning around and getting rid of each of them months later along with more picks-where is the sense? The worst thing is we are stuck with the guy because someone gave him a contract--no someone let him hit powerball is more like it. A 30MM dollar contract for a GM not named West???????

Ricky is gifted but I dont like his elfishness on the court. Ricky is very talented no doubt but talent isnt everything. I dont think hes a NBA thug but he is a ball hog. Reminds me alot of Ron Mercer. They play well but they disrupt the offense.

Except for the people that agreed with him already. Of course, I think Fritz meant "selfishness" and not "elfishness". That's Sam Cassell's biggest problem.

Agree....I would love to see D.Mason in a Knick uniform.

He is a F.A. this season...would you give Milwaukee our lottery pick and Sprewell for Mason and their First OR second round pick?
