Rangers trashed the Atlanta Trashers 7:0 in the Garden to take 3-0 lead in the first round of 2007 Cup playoffs
to have one of the best playoff starts in Rangers history.
Trashers looked lost and quit on their coach. Exact picture of the Knicks of the end of last season.
A couple of things to notice:
1. Rebuilding is working in NY and with Dolan as an owner the same way as in any other place
2. To build the good team the organization need to hire coach with team first attitude (not the winner in life), reduce payroll, work on developing you own young players, bring winners, establish team comradory and identity, get read of long contracts.
3. Knicks are not an oberation - a lot of teams in sports can get to the point of self-distruction
4. Plyoff ticket is NOT an indication of team success but how team showed up in playoff.
