All posters on ULTIMATEKNICKS should tune in to watch this game in MASS to show SOLIDARITY as true knick fans !!! It should be a tradition that we watch the first game of the season and the last game of the season as a COHESIVE UNIT OF FANS !!!!

amazing how crushing this season has been- we started with mild expecations of improvement, and at seasons end we can't even beat an expansion team that started up its existence after Isiah took over as GM.

Is that right? Isiah took over as GM before the Bobcats started to play a single game? And we're neck and neck with them? They have maybe 1/6th the cap number we have?

I honestly don't think I can watch the game. I'd rather watch the Knicks of old- with Ken Bannister, Louis Orr, Rory Sparrow, Darrell Walker- guys that probably had no reason to be in the league, but who tried and gave effort and ran unimaginative plays that Hubie called out every time down the floor.

I started the year with hope, hope for this year and beyond.

Now, its gone. Things aren't getting better next year, and in 2008, when we're in the lotto again, will Dolan have the guts to finally clean house?

if i would have told you all at the beginning of this season that the bobcats would actually be a game ahead of the knicks with one game remaining at the end of this season, you would have probably asked martin and andrew to ban me from the site. but, this is our reality as we know it today.

i will tell you this (and mark this thread to be reviewed again at the same time next year) - the knicks will again be behind the bobcats next year..mark my words!

the bobcats have all the right pieces to explode in a year or 2 (good foundation of youngs, mucho capspace to sign good players, draft picks) and WILL be one of the best teams in the east. while, the knicks, according to dingle-bury and thomas are "happy with the guys we have" and "us, as a team, we're going to be together for next year. There are going to be better things to come."

WE WILL BE WORSE NEXT YEAR....TRUST ME. i dont understand how anyone thinks this franchise is headed in the right direction...

I think I can make a commitment like this for next season.
Another 80 games... I am not sure if it will be worth watching.

jimi mou - now can begin to equate just how deep the Cablevision (Dolan checkbook) cash flow river really is, unrelated to the sports franchises.

If I ruled the world Bil Bradley would be NYK President and head an ownership group of Woody Allen, Mike Wallace and Spike Lee

i think the breaking point has been reached by alot of fans. we all like to rip layden, marbury, isiah, jamal, eddy, etc. etc. etc...but subconsciously, we all know that the true culprit is dolan and the guys he has around him. but he's the owner and there's no replacing him, so we are projecting our frustrations on the gm (who plays a big role as well).

so as a fan, what do you do when you truly believe that with dolan as the owner, there will always be a glass ceiling? do you just sit back and take it? do you change your approach and just be supportive without getting caught up in the BS or do you vent your frustrations on a forum (this messageboard) that as recent as a few years ago, did not exist?

times are tough to be a knicks fan...especially being a product of the late 80's to late 90's team that was successful.
