Right now we just don't have the weapons, but the effort was there," Thomas said

Did we score 105 points? Shouldn't 105 points in regulation win ballgames? Were the Raptorsd missing Ford Bargnani garbajosa and mo pete?
IT has turned very soft. Soft coach==no discipline=soft players who dont care.

IT how about"if we played so,me tough D we wouldve won the game" If channing and jefferies could get their heads out of their arse we would win the game. I made a must've mistake there--they just arent the guys I thought I had. Maybe in the next game Ill have two roles of toilet paper starting and have channing and jared watch them play.

He's talking about 'hope'. He's saying we have no talent. Soft players who don't care may just as well be the result of 'the extension'. Now that Tommy's back, no need to worry and work our asses off.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Jefferies was supposed to have been signed for his D and it was weird to see Malik start the 2nd half... it is just 1 snap-shot game... but still.

looking at the box score, Frye and Jefferies are SUCKING it up big time. Frye has fallen off the face of the earth. Perhaps some plays need to be run for him? Jefferies... oh well.

The team is injured and I think that's a part of the reason. These two guys can't be relied upon at all, they play better when the team is at full strength (ok, I'm hoping).

Let's just get this season over and give Chicago a 5 - 8 pick... Damn.

I'm more upset at Frye than anyone else. Why no Morris, guess they are showcasing Frye

Ever since that knee injury last year, it's been all down hill for him. I doubt he'll be the same. Frye, the high karate kicking softy. I like the way that sounds.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I bet IT must be pretty sick about not trading Frye while he was being projected as the next Wallace/Nowitzki/Duncan. I bet he's just as sick about his last 2 MLE signings. Jeffries is terrible. Terrible! - he didn't do much in his contract year to justify an MLE contract. At least Big Snacks accomplished that much w/ his dominant performance in the playoffs against the King and Spurs.

(on the other hand, he must be pretty pleased w/ Curry's development into a dominant scorer... and Mardy/Balkman/Lee's development)

Imagine if we had Lamar Odom on this team (Lakers were rumored to be willing to trade Odom for Frye last year). In fairness to IT, no one would have predicted that Frye would drop off this much. He was a solid scorer last year who looked like he would easily average 15 points a game if given starter minutes. There is still a chance it works out b/c the kid does have offense, but he has got to pull his game and confidence together.

The whole idea--IS the ffort there when we give up 107 points? We had the firepower to score 105--so stop jiving.

I think 'weapons' can mean defensive weapons as well, but its a dumb quote still.

Frye is great if you're running pick and roll every time down, but he's horrible in a free flowing offense.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I think the free flowing and pick-n-roll offense might be better for Frye than the dump-it-to-Curry-and-watch offense. That way Frye is just not standing of the perimeter waiting for the J. He needs to move and position and cut and finish.

knicks went 2-9 from march 16-april 4.
they had marbury, jeffries, frye and curry all starting during that stretch.
FOUR starters. including the 2 BEST players (marbury and curry) as well as the "glue".

included in those 9 losses were home losses to some of the league's worst road teams in new orleans (after having an 18 point lead), as well as portland, orlando and philly. all with FOUR starters.

that's where the season was lost. isiah first said injuries don't mean anything, we're still going to fight and win...but now all he talks about is injuries.

the team takes on the personality of their coach. abc talked about how the bulls are feisty, in your face, and aggressive like skiles. but our team, they may fight and scrap a little, but they also complain ALOT. that's coming from isiah.
