Wow. Anyone watching the Spurs/Mavs game on now will know what I'm talking about. This has to be a first. Duncan got two Ts sitting on the bench. The second one was just seeingly for laughing at Crawford. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Worst ref ever. I hate that man so very, very much. Thinks the game is about him rather than the two competing teams and acts accordingly.

Wonder if the Spurs can hold on without him...

Nope, SA falls 91-86. They were held to just 10 points in the 4th.

Yeah man that was just retarded. Duncans face was priceless, lol.

When players are getting ejected for laughing, you know something us wrong.

The NBA is a mess. Then they wonder why they can compete anymore in international play.

Not sure what was worse, Duncan getting ejected or Mike Breen defending the ref who tossed him. What a joke.

^^^^ That's what happens when you start a fight and get a rep as a do nothing, 5 foot punk that doesn't listen to the refs and all you want to do is dunk...................

I tell you what, Duncan, IMHO, gets away with more fouls and whatever than any other player in the league these days. Kinda like Jordan back in the day.

I don't mind seeing him get the T's.

That ref should be suspended for the 2nd T. I don't get what that was for. You can't challenge a player to a fight. I'm pretty sure that's not in the NBA Ref handbook.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Hopefully the ref does get suspended. That's just ridiculous and retarted. Cost the Spurs the game also.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Yes, they are. It's funny, but sometimes I think the NBA is more fake than the WWE. At least the WWE openly admits that their matches are fixed. The NBA is fixed, because the refs are so inconsistent that it's sad. I think that should be the rule, that the officials have to be consistent with both teams or face suspension. And then every technical has to be justified, or face suspension.

I think the ref was right. Duncan should not be giggling like a little school girl during the game.

Mike Breen, as usual, was very even-handed in his discussion of the referees. After all, refereeing what I tune in to see.

Hey I heard Crawford will be doing the Nets/Knicks game. Get your tickets early because that game will be sold out in a hurry.
I just hope that people will like me

Duncan, referee Crawford in heated verbal battle

Losing a tense, physical, emotional game to their top rival and being forced to settle for the third seed in the Western Conference was bad enough for Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs.

Even worse: Duncan is convinced referee Joey Crawford is out to get him, with a brawl possibly needed to settle things.

Crawford hit Duncan with 2 technical fouls just 1:16 apart late in the third quarter of San Antonio’s 91-86 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. The second came while he was laughing on the bench and meant an automatic ejection, just the second of his nine-year career.

“He looked at me and said, ‘Do you want to fight? Do you want to fight?’æ” Duncan said. “If he wants to fight, we can fight. I don’t have any problem with him, but we can do it if he wants to. I have no reason why in the middle of a game he would yell at me, ‘Do you want to fight?’æ”

The Spurs sorely missed their top player down the stretch, failing to score a basket over the last 6:32 while allowing a 9-0 run to end the game. The loss ended their hopes of catching Phoenix for the No. 2 seed and home-court advantage if they meet in the second round.

While this was a thrilling game between Western Conference powers, the story of the day turned out to be Duncan vs. Crawford.

“He came into the game with a personal vendetta against me,” said Duncan, who had 16 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocks in his limited action. “It had to be because I didn’t do anything the entire game. I said three words to him and the three words were, ’I got fouled’ on a shot. … That’s all I said to him the entire game.”

Crawford disagreed, saying that “he was complaining the whole game.”

“And then he went over to the bench and he was over there doing the same stuff behind our back,” Crawford said. “I hit him with one (technical) and he kept going over there, and I look over there and he’s still complaining. So I threw him out.”

Crawford spoke to a pool reporter before Duncan spoke to the media. Asked about Duncan not thinking he deserved to be tossed, Crawford said: “That’s his opinion. He said nothing when he was walking off the court and he called me a piece of (expletive). Is that nothing?”

San Antonio had won six straight and was on a 12-1 roll. The only loss came against Indiana — another game that Crawford worked and another game that he rang up a T on Duncan.

“I kind of imagine it stemmed from that,” Duncan said. “I don’t have a problem with Joey. Obviously he’s got a problem with me.”

really?? i don't see that at all. details? you see it more on offense, defense? any particular moves?

if he were getting calls i would think he would have gotten them in o.t. against diop in game 7 with the season on the line.

Crawford should be suspended and shouldn't be allowed to work any playoff games involving the Spurs.

Why is he looking over at the Spurs bench worrying about what they're saying to each other?
