It figures. You know something, I just found out that New York never held an Olympic event. Only up in Lake Placid, NY. Two times for winter olympics. That's it. Chicago's had two world's fairs (officially approved by Paris) and now the summer olympics, for 2016. New York City has only one World's fair, 1939. The one in 1964-65 was bulldozed in by Robert Moses, in 1960, without approval and it made no profit. The first one also made no profit. Question, why does New York City have such difficulty getting support from the world to hold any major world event, when it comes to something like a fair or a world sporting event? I mean it's a major city right? It has a lot of money, right? Our reputation seems tarnished, but then again, a lot of people hate New York anyway. We rely on the New York Stock Exchange, the Empire State building and the Yankees to make our case as a major player! And when I see someplace like chicago of all places building the success, I just have a lot of questions as to the commitees that are supposed to represent. Take the dumb ass Knicks for instance!
I'll never trust this' team again.
