look, i am not happy about this draft either. our chances of getting the top three picks are still minimal. however stranger things have happened and it would be our luck if chicago does get the first three picks. lottery protection isiah? well anyway what is done is done. if chicago gets the seventh pick like we think they would it may not be a big deal. what i heard about the draft is the the picks from 6- 25 are all solid. we just need that draft luck we have had the past two years. though this year turned out to be another disaster ( suprise, suprise), there were some positive signs. we have a nice young core with lee, curry, balkman, and crawford ( though he is approaching his peak). healthy, they have been impressive. they just lack major experience and a true x and o's coach. thomas is a very good motivator but his teams are not prepared. lee and curry should improve to all-star status in the next couple of years. balkman will contribute MAJORLY in the next couple of years. crawford is grooming to becoming a decent leader. we just need a passing point guard ( though mardy collins has shown promise)or an all around wing. then the playoffs could be a great possibility next year.
Well put. Things are actually looking up. We just need everyone back and healthy. It's almost like it will take us time to jell again next year, as there have been so many long injuries. Looking forward to Lee playing with Curry and Balkman in there too. should be a fun year if we are healthy.
The draft does appear solid. Anything is possible. Perhaps Isiah will not need to move up in the draft to get the player he wants.
I'm not sure Chicago can use another player, unless it's a center. There pick might be used to get one in a trade. Would be nice to get that pick back. Maybe for Morriss and there first round pick back, plus... (Frye?). Stranger things have happened.
