funny how i don't really feel any different than last year at this time.

after going 4-12 since the isiah extension, we will end the season on a low low note. had dolan not rushed Isiah's extension do you think after how we've ended this season, he'd still give it to him?

And would we being playing this bad, with as many guys shut down, if his survival was in question. I say no, which tells me these guys give the minimum required effort. If something big isn't at stake expect less than enough.

I don't think it made any difference that he made that announcement. This team was headed for trouble it just hadn't hit hard yet.

I think this year is WAY different than last year. We actually had some things work and go right this year. We saw some very positive signs from young players who are likely going to be here for a while. Curry, Lee, Balkman and Collins had a very good showing, so that's more that we had last year. Q was having a good year until his back gave out and perhaps he will be able to bounce back next year not having to deal with as much back pain. I give him credit cuz he played hard and didn't hold back just to try and stay away from tweaking his back.

Isiah made some mistakes in his 1st go round, but he also was able to establish team unity and he got guys like Steph to buy in. His work with the guys mentioned above was very good. He's doing something right for those guys to have flourished like they have. Now we have to see if he can make the right moves as GM to fill in the holes in the roster.

WHAT! right moves? you think he's going to do that? Since signing bust such as jerome james, jared jeffries, vin baker and traded for guys like Mo taylor, i think his chances of making that right move is completely out the window.

It's only going to get worse!

But it is OK! IT shall lead us to the promised land, but we have to be patient.

If a great man such as Moses took 40 years to lead the Jews to the promised land, how can we ask of IT to lead us their sooner? This is only year 3. We must wait until the last NY fan who saw the playoffs is dead, and than until IT is dead himself because he has sinned against our lord and savior by criticizing the refs before we are allowed to enter the promised land.

But in 38 more years we shall be there. So do not turn to other teams and leaders and remain steadfast in your faith in the great IT!
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I'm glad. Dolan is being exposed as an idiot and Isiah looks pretty bad the past few weeks. Dolan gives the extension because he sees the 'evident progress', then the team tanks. The quicker this team is exposed as a team that is a LONG way away, the better.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Dolan gave the extension because he knew this was going to happen. With injuries to Crawford, Lee, Q, and Francis and half the East fighting to get into the playoffs, it was not hard to predict that the team might not finish well.

No Game, don't you think it is far more plausible that the Knicks would have played just as well having lost player after player, if only Dolan had not extended Isiah's contract?

I mean, the letdown was visible: Marbury's 30-40 point games with his knee falling apart, Balkman scarfing down boards, Curry Dropping 43, Lee hopping around on one leg against his better judgment, Q playing until his back gave out, Collins getting his groove on. They are quitters, to a man, just playing for Isiah dough!

I think all in all team played up to their potential.
And IT did his GM and coach job up to his abilities.
The result is up there.
The players are avarage-to-bad and management is bad-to-offull
Without major change in personnal both on the court and on the bench this organization has no shot to get out of the bottom 10 in NBA.
Injuries are dissapointing in the way they hide the real problems this organization has.
And Isiah... Well... he is a clown and dead man working. He need to look for some other area ouside basketball to continue his carier.
