SAS is calling for the firing of Don Imus, claiming Imus gave his apology at 6am and didn't say it later in his show when most people are just waking up.

I think it deserves it because so far this morning, Don Imus has been portrayed by people in the media to be a nice guy who said something stupid. I always found it interesting why politicians took no heat for appearing on his show and knows what goes on his show.

Someone should call SAS and tell him that Curry blocked shots at tripple his current rate in his third year. I'm sure SAS would get a lot of mileage out of that stat.

It should be discussed. I'd love to hear Imus and SAS go at it live. I don't pretend to know what's in the guys mind. I don't listen to his show, so I'm not ready to assume it was a slip or assume it was racism. I'd like to hear Imus have to defend himself against a guy like SAS and see how he comes out.

The problem with Imus and others like him, are that they represent the views of millions white people in the country. THATS the problem. They spew this racist & sexist nonsense, and millions of people love it. Its how they feel too.

Its funny that the only people wondering if Imus is a racist are white people.

Honestly, I not here to defend Imus..But, as bad as his comments were, I'm not sure if he is a racist...His comments certainly are racist...But the man, I'm not sure... I listen to Imus from time to time...He comes across as a guy trying to keep up with the changing times...He has always been trying to be cool and on the cutting edge...It's a little sad really listening to the way he phrases his newly found lyrics to let his listeners think he is hip and on the cutting edge...Now I know he is a smart dude and should know better than letting something like that out..But I can easily see him fumbling for the cool, hip phrases and letting that slip out without thinking about what it really meant...

Imus deserves more wrath than is dumped on Stephon Marbury for having a bad game or making an awkward remark to the media.

Marbury said he was the best point guard and still gets raked over the coals for it years later.

Imus said something far worse than Marbury EVER said.

Now do the math. how many people on this forum have said Imus should simply STFU?
