A higher pick in this draft???? I have the Lottery as is going something like this:
Grizzles-Oden
Celtics-Durant
Bucks-Horford
Suns-Noah
Bobcats-B Wright
76ers-YI
Blazers-Brewer
Sonics-J Wright
Kings-Spitter
Twolves-Hibbert
Bulls-Hawes
Hawks-Law
Hornets-Thornton
Warriors-Conley Jr

That leaves alot of talent on the board, but the top ten teams will not want to move. Hell I would say the bulls pick plus Frye could even get us our pick back if it ended up where it is slated to be out side the top ten. So would you do any of these and thing the other teams would do any of on draft night:
Chi pick + Frye for Knicks pick?????
Chi pick + Frye for Pacers pick?????
Chi pick + Frye for Hornets pick?????
Chi pick + Frye for Warriors pick?????
Chi pick + Frye for Magic & Pistons picks?????
Chi pick + Frye for Nets & future picks?????
Chi pick + Frye for Clippers & future picks?????

I think Frye is still well regarded around the league, but only in the right offense. Since his defense is lacking (can block some shots, but doesn't play physical or intimidate much).
A team like Phoenix could use him, but I don't really know if they crave him over a stud in this draft.

He does have some value... Where and for how much?

Frye has a little value but not much. I think you might move up about 5 spots in the draft if you offer him.

Like all these situations, I'd do it if we could get some value for him. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. If someone out there wants him enough to give us decent value, I'd take it. I'd take a 2008 pick from a team that projected to have a pick at 15 or below. There's no real place for Frye on the Knicks.

I don't think we need to movei nto the top-10 to get a solid SG prospect, which is what we need. We can trade with a team like Golden State for pick 13-14. I would trade them Frye and our pick for pick 13-14 and a second round pick. We then could get a solid SG prospect (like maybe Nick Young) and also draft a player with potential in the second round.

The ideal move would be to try and ship Marb to the Twolves for their pick plus some salary relief for them. Twolves might be inclined to make a move for Marb (a vet) just to please KG or least make it look like they are trying. If Mike Conley enters this draft, I would definitely try to push for a Marb to the Twolves deal and select Conley.

And to answer the question, yes I would move Frye for an extra pick. This is a deep draft. I would even consider moving him to Phoenix for their 24th pick and a possible second rounder.

Knicks move to into the lottery they should draft a player with a high up side. I would draft Thadduss or Batum. Nick Yiung ain't high enough.

But I really think the Hawks pick could be had for a swap and our pick. What's the differenc between Frye + Stuckly or Law????
