If one stays, they all stay.
That's what Florida juniors Corey Brewer and Al Horford said Monday night after winning their second consecutive national title.
So will one stay? And how much of what Brewer and Horford said was because of the passion of the moment?
"If one of us comes back, we all will," Brewer said.
"That's the way it is," Horford said. "Oh yeah, it's a possibility."
The talk will turn to which of the Gators' four key juniors —- Horford, Brewer, Joakim Noah and Taurean Green —- will return for their senior years.
Weeks ago, it seemed certain that none of them would. But these guys have shown a willingness to go against the grain.
If their parents have anything to say about it, things could be good in Gainesville for yet another season.
Tito Horford doesn't mind going on the record: He wants his son to play one more year. Green's parents agreed. And Noah's mom, Cecilia Rodhe, didn't want to rule that out, either.
Might they say no to the NBA again?
"Over the next couple of weeks, we'll sit down as a family and decide," Tito Horford said. "He seems to enjoy the college basketball experience so much, and we want him to graduate. I do think him coming back is a possibility.
"He knows he can't please everyone all the time, that he has to do what's best for him, but I'd love to see him come back. And to see them all come back, I'd just have a fit. It would be the decision of the century."
Sidney Green, Taurean's father, said they would entrust their son's future to coach Billy Donovan, who has a decision to make himself if, as reported, he's offered the Kentucky job.
"My son wants to play in the NBA, but he understands the NBA has to want him, too," Sidney Green said. "We're going to put it in Coach Donovan's hands. Absolutely, I'd like to see him come back, and [all of them]. Anything is possible."
Noah's mother said they would begin worrying about the future today. But she sounded less than certain that Noah would go pro.
"We'll see," she said. "It will all be decided from the heart. It's an honor that they're here. Once was great, but to be back is an honor that they earned."
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
