The New York Liberty, after drafting Tiffany Jackson from Texas, dealt guard Becky Hammon and the second-round pick in 2008 to San Antonio for Jessica Davenport, and the first-round pick in 2008.

why?

so they can tank for candace parker next season.

I'm glad they traded Becky. I love Becky but the liberty has some good young players that need the minutes.
