Butler Breaks Right Hand
1st April, 2007 - 9:39 pm
Houston Chronicle -

During the third quarter of the Wizards' Sunday game against the Bucks, Caron Butler broke his right hand.

"Second round, third round, a possibility," Butler said after the game. "But right now, I probably won't have a jersey on until next year."

Butler said that the accident happened when he went up to challenge a shot by Ruben Patterson and his right hand hit the backboard. He was playing in his third game back since missing six with a left knee contusion.

"My hand caught under the rim, and it popped out of place," Butler said.

"I see a hand specialist tomorrow," Butler said. "Hopefully, I'll get the opportunity to come back as soon as possible."

Quietly, Caron Butler has had an injury plagued season, more so after the all star break. He's becoming one of my favorite players outside the Knicks too.

Unless you are the Nets and you can say that RJ was out and Kristic "the great center" was out too and that's why you are under .500 forget the fact that you are still playing with two HOF guys.

Vince Carter is not a HOFer. That's what cracks me up about some fans they think just because a player has stats, does cool sick dunks, etc etc that they are HOF worthy. Good grief Dominique got snubbed on his first ballot and he was more electrifying and accomplished than Carter has been over his career. Not to mention 2 positions a team can't afford to have an injury to, is point gaurd and center. Those can cripple a team especially not a deep one.
