I don't think we are dead in the water but seeing as we haven't been able to muster a 4 game winning streak all season long and have people injured, I think people are just tempering their enthusiasm.

Just remember whether we all type "the Knicks are going to win 9 in a row" or we all type "the knicks are going to lose 9 in a row", it's going to have no effect on their final record. They will do what they will do so I think people are comfortable being realistic and thinking that next year might be a better option for the playoffs.

They still have chance and to me that's a GOOD thing, cuz they can continue to look at these games as important and play hard. The young guys will gain a lot from the pressure of the situation. To play meaningful games pretty much to the end is always a good thing.

Wednesday, we have a chance to pull closer to Orl. We have Philly at home and they have Tor. If we take care of business then who knows.

There will always be negativity around bad teams. It's been that way since the beginning of time. We are never going to create a fan wide koombaya session to change the overall negativity towards teh team around until they start winning. That's sports my friend. The negativity associated with losing is one of the things that teaches young guys to win. They learn that losing has no positives attached to it and instead kill themselves to win. The moment they become comfortable with losing is the moment you will see..........Oh wait you saw that last year.

As an organization we need to stop focusing on what's going on with the fans and the media and the injuries and focusing on giving our best effort. Give your best effort regardless of circumstance and sooner or later things always work out for you.

With were we are as an organization the games should be important no matter what the record is. Didn't last year teach us anything?

Do you really think that this isn't what is going on? From what I see, this team hasn't given up and has been busting it's rump to try and win games. Dallas is a perfect example of that. We may not have won a lot of these games but this team has been REALLY playing hard. What some of us are trying to say is that the fans need to be at least a little more appreciative of the effort and not just looking at the win/loss columns. The team is seriously undermanned and playing with major minutes going to rookies and they have been giving their all. So what's wrong with being supportive of the team under those circumstances?

And what I am saying is that you are over reacting. Maybe because in your life you need a little more appreciation and support. This team has received standing ovations, rousing cheers and raucus chants of defense everytime they give that type of effort. Everytime they come out flat and give little effort at home against teams like Portland and Charlotte and the HOrnets they don't get such a happy response. That is NY my friend. You have been a fan for a long time and should no it by now. Fans are very fair. They are appreciative of great effort and not appreciative of poor effort. IF you can't take that you don't need to be in NY. That's the way it will always be.

My point is that as an organization we keep hearing we are losing because of injuries and the fans booing and the refs. Enough. Even if the refs hate you and the fans are booing and you are down to a DLeague squad, if you give 100% effort the fans will applaud you. That is NY. You know it is, and to say that somehow this year is different is wrong on your part.

As Patrick Ewing said "shut up and play". Notice that ever since Pat and Walt and Magic said that to Marbs he has done so and the fans have had his back. He got it. Maybe one day you will as well.

i don't think there's a realistic shot... they have to beat the Nets in both games they play the rest of this season, & the Nets always seem to have the Knicks' #... the costly losses to inferior teams have come back to haunt this team as everyone knew it would.
