What should the Knicks focus on this summer? It seems we are turning the corner and developing a core group of players. Do we add another player or try and make a blockbuster trade or do we see how the team fairs next season with this season's experience?

We just need a healthy roster 1-10(rotational players) for all 82gms next season, other notable additions.......

Replace Garden Crowd with one that doesn't Boo

Replace refs with ones who have bias for Knicks so we can double our free throw output next yr

Instead of playing almost 15gms against teams without their #1-2 superstar let's make that 82gms

Don't schedule any games within a week of any Holiday or admist the All-Star weekend

Don't snub any of our 15 rostered players from making the All-Star game next yr

Fire all coaches affiliated with Larry Brown

Use the full MLE on another Jared Jeffries type player and annoint that acquisition immediately

Give another Evident Progress Ultimatum

Let the Vendors in the stands sell Starbury's during games to take pressure off of Bundybury

Lower the rims at EY's mouth level because we know he can get his hands at least that high

Unlike most I like the roster we have and I like the progress we have made(that whats chemistry does). I just dislike the salary over talent rule Isiah implements (Jeffries starting over Balkman). I think if we go into next season with the starting line up of Marbury,Crawford,Balkman,Lee, and Curry (with Balkman and Lee's newfound jumpers) we will be a problem. I would not mind going after Gerald Wallace tho.

Trimming the fat is the number one priority. If it means trading two young guys that are playing 20 minutes a night in return for a need player that can play 35 minutes a night we should do it. This was not an accepted view in the preseason but is becoming one now thankfully. Also get guys like Francis and JJ as far away from our young guys as possible. I hate cutting contracts that we may be able to use in trade but with the way our org. has been run for the past 7 years this is the way it has to be done.

TRIM THE FAT.

Next step grab the best player available at a position of need. I don't care if we have Marbs, and Francis and Craw and Nate if the best player available is a PG you grab him. If it's a shotblocker you grab him. Hopefully it will be a two way player. But we neeed to grab the best available talent and should I add they must also be a self motivated player that loves playing basketball and accepting coaching. 3 years of lazy players, this is the moment to continue a trend in the other direction.

Trim the fat...I like that but I think Marbury solidified his spot at PG with his recent play. Crawford's injury makes him seem like the reason the Knicks are on their current losing streak. Small Forward is the only question mark with the Q Rich situation. But yea a shot blocker is a must. either that or curry learns how to jump

I think we have to wary about drafting to fix current needs and drafting to fill needs when Curry hits his prime. Too many of us(Isiah included) are making picks and signing free agents based on current team needs(ex: JJ1, Francis and JJ2), and not about building a future team. Every move should be made in regards to building a team of a PG, SG, PF and SF for Eddie Curry 2-3 years from now. Marbs has played great this year but for the majority of the rest of Curry's career he will not be around and since we are a rebuilding team we cannot rebuild based on marbs. It must be built based on what we will look 3 y ears from now. That is true rebuilding. What players compliment your best player. Building based on what this team currently needs is a recipe for a .500 record unless you bring in a star. That's what we've done for the past 7 years. Bring in role players to strengtehn an already mediocre team.

Always remember that Ewing, STarks and Oakey became Shandon, Howard and Spoon. No more targeted role players. Position yourself to get players that will lead you into the future.

shotblocker & trim off the fat like Bip said above... we need to set a focus on what type of team we want to be & make the moves to achieve that... Isiah said he wanted to run the floor more when he came here, so he made the trades for Marbury, TT & drafted D Lee & Ariza... ok, some of those moves i agreed with, some of them i didn't, but at least it followed a set plan... but then he goes after Jerome James & Eddy Curry which goes against the uptempo style he said he wanted to implement, & suddenly this team wants to play inside out & slow down the pace? what's the plan here? can someone tell me cuz i can't figure it out.

I would like to see Isiah and Dolan take on more salary, and make the Knicks the first NBA team with a $1,000,000,000 payroll.

Buy out Francis.

Trade Frye and Nate for the Rights to Jeff Green-YES overpay for him because he IS the type of player we need and we have the option of being able to do it.(We Already have Brewer on this team. His name is Balkman-and he can guard 4 postions-even 5. Brewer may be able to guard 3 at most. Seriously-how is Brewer different/better than him?) and maybe a future 2nd rounder.

Use our pick on Aaron Afflalo.

Try to trade Jefferies, Jerome.

Curry
Lee
Green
Afflalo
Marbury

Crawford, Quentin, Rose, Morris off the bench.

Buyout Francis.

i would like to see the knicks offer nachos with the works...and a few more options for toppings on hot dogs. cheese, chili and sauerkraut ain't enough.
