Yeah that's why those losses to Blazers and Hornets are viewed as horrible. Isiah and his team must take heat for those loses no matter the injuries because everyone knew how important they were.

CHarlotte has Okafor back, believe it or not. Minny is always tough. Philly is not so far behind us. Just about everyone on their is going on with a major purpose.

This run also shows how important it is to beat teams earlier in the year when they are coming to your home court and all their stars are injured.

this one's for firefly and martin who i saw at the game last night telling me to post more....

here are the must wins IMO to make the playoffs.

Fri 30 at Dallas
Sat 31 at NO/Oklahoma City - MUST WIN
Wed 4 Philadelphia - MUST WIN
Fri 6 Minnesota - MUST WIN
Sat 7 at Milwaukee - MUST WIN
Mon 9 Detroit
Tue 10 at Chicago
Fri 13 at New Jersey
Sun 15 at Toronto - MUST WIN
Mon 16 New Jersey - MUST WIN
Wed 18 at Charlotte - MUST WIN

***I didnt pick the "@ Nets" game as a must win b/c i feel as long as we split with them and not lose ground, we can still be OK.

Thoughts, comments, bashings...bring 'em on? What do you guys think? Do you think the knicks could get there?

calderon and parker have been back for 2 games already. they just blew out miami yesterday. toronto is tough at home. on the road is another story but at home, they're 26-10.

It doesn't really matter what the strength of the team is that the Knicks go against. It's all about how many of the guys we have left have a good game every night. If we can get Steph & Curry going then we just need a little from everyone else to make it all work. Last night was a good example of that. In every game our margin for error is super slim, so like the SEA, NOK, POR and ORL games we MUST execute well in the closing minutes of every game. Aside from the best teams we're usually in most games, but at the end we haven't been able to get over the hump lately.

I like our chances right now tho. I think with the exception of Dallas and Detroit, we have a shot in most of these games.

I told you they'd be fine when Bargnani got injured and now with Garbajosa injured they still remain a cohesive unit. They'll get exposed to some degree come playoff time but at the same time they'll suprise. If they happen to not be taken seriously advancement to the second round is a high possibility.

For some reason teams just don't seem to defend the Raptors properly. They really only have on guard that can break down a defense and that's TJ. If you stay at home on their perimeter shooters, then you take away the effectiveness of those guys. I say give them the same treatment you give to Nash in the playoffs. You let him get all the penetration he wants, but don't help on him. He wants the defense to react so he can have an open teammate to pass to. TJ has done a GREAT job of playing the role of Nash. Toronto can be beaten fairly easily if you have someone who can defend Bosh with only minimal help. You wont' stop him, but like TJ, he can't win a game all by himself. IF you take away the open shots from the rest of the cast, Toronto can't win.

I think we match up well with Toronto and with a full squad are a smidgeon behind them. the difference being that they have a star that they can count on on a daily basis. But I think in a playoff series the kNicks would be capable of knocking them out. Unfortunately with our injuries we have absolutely no chance of beating anyone and may as well call it a season right now.

Bargnani back on court soon
March 29, 2007
Doug Smith
Sports Reporter

Andrea Bargnani expects to start full basketball work in a week and play as soon after that as he can.

The 7-foot Raptor rookie did some light jogging at the Air Canada Centre today, his first work in the gym since having his appendix removed eight days ago.

"I will wait one more week to do contact, to have basketball contact and I can start gradually to get my shape back," he said. "If she says after one week I'm okay, I'll need a couple of practices and then (I can) play.

The Raptors, who are off to face the Washington Wizards tomorrow night, dearly need Bargnani back and healthy for the playoffs. While they've been able to get through his absence in the short term, not having his defence-stretching shooting coming off the bench would be a crippling long-term blow.

Bargnani, who made a silky-smooth three-pointer the first time he touched a ball after his short workout, said the pain from the procedure is pretty much gone.

"There is a little, but that's normal," he said.

Wow, i didn't realize this is what we have left !!!!
