So let's stop with the BS excuse that they're injured and therefore it's ok if they don't give effort and compete. If they did it tonight, then why the hell can't they do it every night, regardless of who's missing?

They're 1-6 in their last 7 games because they aren't very good and their supposed franchise player is so out of shape that he's run out of gas before the finish line, not because of injuries.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

they gave effort tonight, but Collins was out there when we could have had Jamal. thats big.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

As usual the backhanded compliment from you. For one thing no one is saying it's OK for the players left not to give a good effort. What you saw tonight is what we've been try8ng to tell all along. It's down to steph playing his but off, just to give us a chance. We have effort guys in Balkman and Collins, but there's no scoring unless it's Steph. So tonight he was able to do more, cuz he had a few days rest. The guy is icing his knee during the game so you know he's not healthy, but if he can go and do what he capable of , then we have a chance, tho a slim one. THAT'S the reason we've been losing. It's been too much of a one man show. Without Lee, Q and Jamal 3 of our top players statistically and talent wise, you don't have much left. ESPECIALLY if Francis is gonna keep playing like a fool. Teams don't fear our perimeter game cuz they know we can't beat them like that, so they can triple team Curry without penalty.

You want to make it OK that we don't have our best players, but it NOT OK. It's NEVER OK to play that way. Especially for long durations.

So when people were upset after the team half arsed through Portland and Cleveland why did you have a problem with this?

Secondly, let's not point fingers just at Stevie. There are a few guys that came out flat in those two games. Includign Steph.
I just hope that people will like me

4 players have given it their all consistently no matter what since Lee and Crawford went down. Malik, Balkman, Mardy and Nate. How sad.

I think Marbury has given it his all. It is hard to carry a team by yourself.

it is when you're trying to take the load on yourself instead of making it a point to get your teammates into the flow of the game... he was doing that when the Knicks were on their 3 game win streaks this season... when he reverts back to Starbury mode, the team suffers... after all this time, Marbury still doesn't get that.

TMS, I think Marbury is trying to play team ball the best that he can. He is not a Nash or Kidd, who have the ability to create offense without scoring, he has just average PG skills. So he is trying to score more to make up for the lack of scoring from the other positions. Simply put, if Marbury did not score, who would on this team. The point of the thread is who is playing hard, I think Marbury is playing hard and trying to play team ball to the best of his abilities.

Marbury has been fine this season, but there have been times when he just seems to dissapear. He too seems lost at times when fact is, his game is what it is. He's a penetrator who will get layups, kick it out to his open teammates, get to the line, and hit open Js. He's not a distributer in any sense. That's why he's best off on a contending team. He's taking away from the youth on the team, and it's not his fault. Just the way the team is built.

No shooting threat on this team other than Marbury. It is pretty hard to record an assist if your teammate doesn't make his shots. He has no problem getting it to Balkman.
