I like channing frye, but his lapses in defense are basically killing us. Also, francis has no concept of TEAM defense as well.

What if we traded Frye (give up on the offensive experiment) and Francis (crawford and Nate more than make up for him) and send them to New Orleans for Chandler and Bobby Jackson?

Does giving up Bobby jackson to us help them in their cap situation (if they even have a cap situation).

I'd like to keep everyone, but if Curry needs a bruiser next to him, and we just signed a center that is first round material on the cheap, I'd prefer chandler over Frye at this point as we have other offensive minded players to surround him with.

With Balkmans emergence, would lee be tradeable?

I mean, I'd not like to give up both frye and lee, but I'd give up one of them for Chandler.

Would you?
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

I like Chandler, and if we're determined to build around Eddy, rebuilding the Chicago experiment could work, but no way in hell do I see NO doing that deal.
First off, if NO is concerned about the cap enough to throw in Bobby Jackson (which I don't see why they'd just use him as a filler), then why would they take Francis?
No way I trade Lee for him though. Tyson is a great rebounder, but so is Lee. Chandler is better defensively, but is so unreliable on offense that it may negate his stops. He's a broken piece like Curry. Lee's just too high of a price.
As I said, I like Chandler, but I don't see NO trading him without us overpaying for him (his contract is another issue all together).

This maybe outside of the box and into the frying pan but how about Curry and pick #23 for Chandler and the #10 pick.

Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

NOK is still fighting for a playoff spot, so their pick may be out of the lottery... i wouldn't make that deal if that were the case... for a top 10 & Chandler, i probably do the deal though.

funny how chandler and curry are such halves of what could be a great whole.

I don't think Chandler or Curry can play along side the other- I know they might have done it in the past.

We need an outside shooter- a matt carroll type that can stretch the defense and make Curry effective down low.

Francis hasn't done anything this season to make people think he can be effective.

If we ever decided to go after one of the big men on NO, I would go after Hilton Armstrong over Chandler. I think his ceiling is actually higher than Chandler's and much higher than Frye's.

At 6'11" he can play the 4 and the 5, he can rebound and he's a legit shotblocker (Big East defensive player of the year last year). The thing that really sells me on him though is his offensive capabilities. They're a little untapped at this point but believe me he has them. He can post up and he can shot - he's got great form on the jumper out to 20 feet much like Frye. He played in the shadows of Villanueva and Okafor his first few years at U-Conn where the Huskies never really looked for him to score anyway. And now for the Hornets Scott doesn't really play him that much as Chandler and West get the majority of the time at the 4 and the 5. If this kid ever put on another 10-15 pounds of muscle and just got more PT I think he could be a star or at the very least a very servicable and productive NBA big man.
