then we must just let marbury, francis, and nate go for theirs.

they don't make anybody else better. and eddy is pretty much castrated.

so instead of trying to make it work in the limited time left, the team will probably win more games going with the marbury/iverson all star game formula.

let marbury, francis and nate go nuts, while playing balkman, malik, jared, and frye play the frontcourt minutes for defense.

at this point I just want Balkman, Nate and Frye to get minutes from here on to the remainder of the season. marbury deserves a rest. Balkman because he's earned more PT and Nate/Frye because they just flat out need the practice.

francis...well.... let's just say after this season i'd rather not see him in orange and blue.

You may be right.

But it sounds a lot like the beginning of the season with the "quick" offense and the 3-4 guard alignments that earned us a tidy little 6-11 record for the month of November.

One could argue that back then Marbury was trying to be more of a distributor, but is greenlighting Tiredbury for more 3 pointers really gonna tip the scale now?

But again, you still may be right.

i think isiah is castrated as a coach.

jamal brought ball handling, passing, and chemistry with eddy.
quentin brought 3 point shooting, post up play, and rebounding.
david brought rebounding and quick interior passing.

those players were replaced with more one dimensional type of guys like balkman and jeffries. and francis is playing like crap while nate basically is just a scorer.

can't see how this team can win in any way, but we're seeing this dump it down to eddy thing is definitely not working with this roster right now.

it's alright tho. everyone will return and we'll be healthy and we'll be able to creep up on the elusive .470 win percentage next season...maybe even push .490.

I agree. There's two hopes to your proposal though.

1. Go back to the "quick" style on the chance and open court style could actually aid the production of Eddy and Frye by giving them looks before the defense sets and pushes them out, and that it would utilize the hectic skills that Balkman and Jeffries possess. Of course defense and rebounds would be at a premium and that's where Q and lee would really be missed.

2. Giving Steph the "freedom" he so coveted last year (and every year prior) would have him play a little less "tired."

I thought you were going to say that if this years playoffs really mattered that much, we wouldn't have signed morris and instead added a johnson

The closest Playoff is minimum 2 years in the future.
It's time for steve, steph, and Q to sht it down and go visit their doctors.
I think Lee deserved some rest too.
Malik, Cato, Big Snack can go home to spend time with the families.

For now we have some youg gs - let them play and have fun.
We can add some prospects to see if they can bring it up
30 games is already good enough to have "Evident progress" so who cares...

You really think this team won't be a playoff team next year? The East isn't that far ahead of us. When this team is healthy I don't think any of these teams is that much better than the Knicks that we can't get a spot in the playoffs. Our current position is mostly a case of this team getting off to an expected slow start and losing 3 of our top players for an extended period of time. When we begin next season there's no reason to expect this team to start the year 6-11. We haven't played at that level since that time. We also don't know what Isiah will do to address the teams needs. I would expect that he'll do something to add a bit more outside punch. I'm also hopeful that some of our players will get a bit better as well.

Isiah has a lot of work to do tho. We need to refine this roster a bit. It's focus on post play will require adding better shooters and passers. I figure he'll draft a SF and look to trade for Rashard Lewis this off season. 2 more perimeter scorers would do wonders for this teams offense. I fully expect Isiah to cut Francis. We need the roster spot for a young PG who can run an offense. If it was me i'd also cut James as well. This guy is a disgrace to the uniform. We've got enough young bigs now and we don't need him anymore.

Making the playoffs is not the important thing. Having fun playing basketball, being a success in life - that's what matters. Sunshine. Balloons. Dogs. Children. Cotton Candy, and the big "L" LOVE!

Those are the things that matter. Playoffs shmlayoffs.

Winning ain't everything and it ain't your money.

Now stop watching the Knicks and go out and make the world a better place!
