Lee wants to play he has been assured by many doctors that he can hurt it anymore. He cant jump as was evident last night he was just hoping he could give his team a boost. When the soreness get out of the bone he will be fine. He was hoping to come back around the first of the month, but he thinks he is ahead of schedule

I love Lee, he's my favorite knick (okay, that's not saying much) but watching him play hurt illustrates the weakness of his game. Lee's success is based on speed, timing, athleticism, and surprise, but anytime that is diminished in the least he's going to be largely ineffective. He's a blown ACL away from being a permanent bench guy.

Just like Jamal had a little case of tendinitis? Put a little brace or piece of plastic on his ankle and the stress reaction doesnt get worse, ultimately turning in to a full-out fracture? Oh Allan Houston's knees are sore turning in to microfracture, turning in to a degenerative knee problem?

What happens when Lee is on the table getting screws in his "high ankle." whatever that is. hope he's high on some good painkillers.

Anyone can get hurt MORE...the situation is beyond salavageable and Dave need not risk personal health for this year.

I strongly disagree. David Lee has the type of mindframe and attitude that wont allow him to ever fail. Injuries or not. He will always be effective, I think he has proven that to us already

It isnt his ankle it is more of the tibia bone. If the Knicks doctor and the doctor that works on Adam vinatieri is saying the same thing sooner or later you have to believe them. The soreness is what is bothering him and he is trying to come back early for his teammates.,

I guess that is something learned NOT to do with age. And injury, and repeated injury.

Damn, unfortunately I called it. Lee should hire me as his consultant. I called the severity of his injury way before the docs and i could see that it was too soon to come back last night and called that too.. I had a feeling he wouldnet make it back tonight.. sucks.. i hope he gets better soon.. he needs to put his health above all right now

"A night after making a surprise return to the rotation, David Lee was back in a suit. Lee aggravated the stress reaction in his right leg Thursday. But Lee said the increased soreness was expected and that he intends to return for Monday’s game against Orlando. He said he “tweaked” the injury on a second-effort layup. “I really didn’t even get any sleep last night, it was so sore,” said Lee. “Coach was happy that I went out there and gave it everything I had.""

Seriously, how ****ing stupid is this organization??? What are they thinking letting Lee come back too early and putting him in a situation where he can hurt himself even further?

I think the fact that Lee tried to come back just shows how loyal these players are to Isiah. It shows how much they are willing to give up to play for the man and he should be applauded for this. David Lee is risking his career to play for Zeke and I cannot overlook this like the rest of you guys. This is even more evident progresser than the Stevie Francis' game winner. I think based on this Dolan should give Isiah an extension for a further 10 years.

Crawford should be ashamed of himself for not being back yet.

Malingerer.

Q too.

Isiah never had trouble getting the loyalty of his players.

Pacers players continued to voice support for Thomas.
Jermaine O'Neal, then a free agent, said before he re-signed with the team last month he would not play for anybody but Thomas with the Pacers.

The biggest criticism of Thomas was his inconsistent rotations. While most players preferred a set role, Thomas made his decisions on his own feelings for a particular game and team matchups.

http://media.www.dailytexanonline.com/media/storage/paper410/news/2003/08/28/Sports/Pacers.Fire.Coach.Isiah.Thomas.After.Last.Seasons.Collapse-454129.shtml

Thomas was let go, various sources say, because Bird sensed no urgency from him or his coaching staff to make sure last year's embarrassing first-round playoff choke to the Celtics wouldn't happen again.
