OK. So I was a little bit bored and also a little bit curious as to how the "race" for the final playoff spots in the East was going to turn out. So here's a summary of the current situation and the remaining schedules for each team. Looks like the Knicks have the toughest road ahead of them -- now I know that isn't news, but I thought it was kinda cool to see all the schedules laid out like this. Anyone care to make some predictions?

yup.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

One thing in the Knicks favor compared to the others--they have been consistent 500 ball for a while now--they dont let 2 loses become 3--we'll likley get back Q and Lee for perhaps half of the games? and other teams dont have any cavalry coming in. Orlando looks like pure CRP right now--I think they are on the verge of total collapse--the Pacers already have had total collapse--is there ANY bounce effect there? I think they have had it with the coach there. Nets still are VERY weak inside--but at the end of the day are MOST likely to get that 7 spot--so that should leave us @8.

NJ has been playing below .500 over the last 10 games, as has Orlando. Indy just doesn't look very strong, tho they do still have O'Neal. I think the Knicks have the toughest road ahead, but I also think we're the toughest team out of all 4. Orlando to me is the weakest. Indy perhaps right behind them. NJ has the big 3, but I don't see any real FIRE from them. I think the Knicks may not have everything they need, but they have a lot of passion and desire to win. When we finally get Q and Lee back, it may just be enough to help us get over the hump.

I think Indy is DONE!!! They just got blasted by Hou and SA and now they'll face Mia, Chi, Clev, NJ, Orl, SA and Det. I don't think they'll make it thru that stretch alive.

Orl still tries hard, but I just don't think they're very good. Jameer and Howard have to play out of their minds just to stay competitive.

NJ has a somewhat tough road like us, but they should be able to get a few more wins than Indy or Orl.

The Knicks have a nasty little schedule. I'd be more confident if we had Lee and Q healthy, but as it is, this is gonna be a nail biter. None of these teams is likely to go into the last few weeks on any kind of win streak. These teams just aren't consistent enough to be able to do that. NJ has a chance to be able to do it, cuz they have 3 All Stars who can raise their game at any time.

OK. So I'm an optimistic hater...

I have the Knicks finishing 9-6 for a 39-43 overall record and the 7th seed.
I have the Nets finishing 6-8 for a 37-45 overall record and the 8th seed.
I have the Magic finishing 3-10 for a 34-48 overall record.
I have the Pacers finishing 3-12 for a 33-49 overall record.

You know, I was talking to DJ one day and I said to him, "Man, I just had a dream that the Knicks beat the Cavs in the first round of the playoffs." At that point, he started to die laughing -- he told Jimmou, over the telephone, and Jimmou started to die laughing. True story. But what they didn't know is that I have been prophetic before... Hopefully, I'll be prophetic again. So the reason I'm making this bold prediction is because of that dream. Even haters got dreams, yo...

I see 8-7 over the last 15 games, which should be enough for the last playoff spot if we beat Orlando and then beat NJ at least once.
Trust the Process

Yeah, yeah -- I was lit up and talking about the Knicks making the second round of the playoffs... HAHA!! Big deal... DJ and Jimmou both found it really funny because at the time the Cavs were the 3rd seed. So they thought I was predicting the Knicks would make it into the 6th spot in the east. But as you can see -- my master plan is unfolding and the Cavs have stepped into the 2nd seed, leaving themselves prone for an upset of epic proportions if the Knicks can fulfill their end of the deal and grab that 7th slot.
