over Steve Francis. He seems to be calming down a lot more and is getting his head in the game. At the same time, I cry everytime I see Francis hold the ball. Bad decisions, turnovers, bad shots, doesn't know what to do with the ball unless he's one on one with a clear lane to the hoop. He just doesn't know how to play ball.

Meanwhile, Nate has been doing everything you can ask of him. I never let the brawl change the way I feel of Nate. Those things happen. If he shows he's serious about bball, then I still want him on the team because he's the perfect bench spark plug.

I can't take Francis anymore. He's just a bad player right now.

With this said, I still wanna ring his neck when I go to a game and he's constantly working on his 35 foot prayers, and then I read newspaper articles that state he's pracicing his halfcourt shots, as opposed to his midrange game.

Amen! Francis has made me want to take a gun to my head everytime he takes 15 seconds off the shot clock dribbling no where.
Hell, Balkman at the 2 wouldn't be a bad idea either if we're so dead set on starting JJ.

I have noticed the same thing Allanfan20. Nate is playing under control and hitting his 3's. He is no worse on defense than Francis and at least is not turning the ball over or using up all the clock dribbling around the perimeter. How someone as talented as Francis has no clue how to play basketball is amazing. Francis makes Marbury look like Steve Nash when it comes to understanding how to run an offense for 48 minutes. It is clear that we have to buyout Francis this summer.

Hopefully Q makes it back soon because neither of them deserves to start until they realize that defense is half of the game, not just another bothersome task.

^True dat. I am just assuming Q is done though. His back is a liability.

I would start Mardy over Nate. This should protect Marbury by having Mardy guard the better opposing guard. This helps with post play as well as he knows how to feed the post.

agree... Nate's good as a sparkplug off the bench depending on certain matchups, but as a starter he'd be exposed on the defensive end way too often... i wanna see Mardy get more playing time because he's 1 of the few guys we have who can guard penetrators on the perimeter

^ Not sure, Bip, but I think he started during our six game win streak last year. Do you like him in that role?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Nate just keeps proving how good he is. He is just a good scorer. You want to chuck him but then he checks into a game and wins your heart.

Francis is here because there is no other option. I think if our cable box had a mic (which it probably does anyway) it would probably record a big "Fuck!" everytime francis goes between the legs 4 straight times. He sickens us all.

Anyway the future of the knicks back court is in the hands of Collins and Nate. Maybe not as starters yet, but the see surely good options to come off the bench with behind craw and marbs.

Knicks need an extra draft pick and a lateral trade to squeeze in a power forward, shooting guard and a in between guy at the 3.

Go knicks!

I really don't think that's our future backcourt.

Bip - I don't see them as starters just good players to have backing up marbs and craw.

Like I said the knicks still need a shooting guard which should come in the draft. That guy could be the future starter. The knicks also need another Q minus the injuries. They also need a D-bo. That's why I said isiah should go after and extra pick and then try move frye for a young player that fits.

I've been saying Balkman would make a great 2- I even think he would run the offense better than Francis- I've never seen Balkman hold the ball for 20 seconds.

I don't think Nate would be any more exposed on defense than either Crawford or Francis are.

But yes- mardy can play d.
