This kid nate, like what does he think about...Him and chris paul are the same age, yet there miles apart as far as maturity...

Quentin Richardson (sore back) remained out of practice and is doubtful for tonight. He hasn't played since pulling out of Wednesday's game in Toronto ... After going 1-for-6 from the line Sunday, rookie Renaldo Balkman stayed after practice working on free-throw shooting. Nate Robinson, who was 6-for-17 from the floor and 0-for-3 on threes, worked on his halfcourt shots.

This *could* be one of the reasons Ariza was traded and why Nate drove Brown nutty. Whenever I was at a Knicks game early last year, I would see Nate and Ariza doing half court shots or shots from out of bounds.

your never here about jeffries working on his fts..man as much as you need young talant on your squad ( and i have been preaching this for years) You can never win anything more then a playoff berth with a young squad, building through the draft just sucks, and takes to many years, before you end up trading away the same savior you draft 3 years ago..( unless of course his franchise status)..

I hate to sound overly harsh, but one thing I learned from watching this season's All-Star Saturday Night was that N8 is nothing more than a novelty act. He's a side show, not to be taken seriously. There might be a place for him in the NBA, but not on my team, thank you very much.

I am beginning to believe that too.

He has the skill level to be a lot more than a novelty act, but his brains have to catch up.

I'm not nearly as high on his pure skill level as some, but the point is, it truly hurts/frustrates/bothers me to see someone like N8 wearing a Knicks uniform.

To be honest, I don't think Isiah is very fond of him either.

Did you guys see during the Raps game after Nate let TJ Ford or Darrick Martin blow by him and was chewing him out on the sidelines about it? Nate didn't really look like he was paying attention and was there just adjusting his sleeve.

Man I think it's WAY too early to be giving up on Nate. The guy has so much raw talent. Eventually he's gonna start to mature and get serious. He's still a very young guy and not everyone matures at the same rate. I was always a very serious person even as a kid I was more mature than many of my friends. Still they ended up getting there and I think Nate will one day make that transition.

When he does finally get his act together he's gonna be a hell of a player. I think this team is gonna be just fine. Having a few young players does hurt a team at first, but if you can keep them together, they'll eventually start to mature into a solid group. We have been fortunate in getting some guys who have a fairly high talent level. Not elite guys, but a lot of really good guys.

He hasn't even shown flashes of maturity, at time's he plays under control, but for the most part he's not, and that in it's self is a problem. He's at least 5 years away from being a real guard in this league. He belongs on a Nelly team..All offense.

If we trade him there in a package, you think Mullin would give us Monta Ellis in return?

Nate has NBA talent. His problem is that he has to play PG and he does not have a PG's mentality. Moreover, this year he has really let his defense slip. He looks worse on the defensive end this year than he did last year, which is really unexcusable. If the kid focused, he could easily be a 14-15 point scorer for us off the bench, but I am not sure how long it is going to take for him to mature. The bad part is that as soon as we trade him, I think he is going to turn into a better, more athletic version of Earl Boykins.

Monta Ellis is a much more mature player than Nate. Still don't you think it's a bit strong to call Nate a borderline NBDL player? The guy can play at this level. NO ONE can stay in front of him. He has a good shot out to 3 pt range, hits FT's. He needs to learn how to setup his teammates and how to defend better, but he's a TRUE NBA level player. Let's not get crazy.

At the fan event recently, I asked him why he didn't put the between the legs windmill from the baseline in during Allstar weekend. Mind you he had all to do to look at you, and rudely replied "because i only made it once"

Which was funny because he must have tried a couple of dunks 15 times in the Slam Dunk Competition.

You can't win with the guy he is what he is a player that will give you a scoring spark off the bench, which can be useful to a team that allows him to play the iverson role

BRIGGS and I think djsunyc has compared Nate to a mini-Wade in the past. While the offensive arsenal is there, I think he is more comparable to JR Rider than anything else. Both are exceptional talents but are more look-at-me-look-at-me type players.

come on man. Nate is an elite level athlete and he has skills, NBA skills, can shoot, penetrate and finish, to have the ability to do that on the NBA level is huge.. His maturity is a different story.... but to say NBDL material... Not true

Obviously I'm taking it to the other extreme.

But when comapared to this 1rst yr NBA player, who was called up from the NBDL this season and has only played in 33gms thus far, is Nate that much better than him? Matter of fact is he better than him?
